A 2D action RPG about debts, choices, and consequences, disguised as a cute adventure. Freedin Deverfos just wants to find his father. His father was called to war. Then the letters stopped coming. Unfortunately, a few bad breaks later, Freedin owes a Guild his life. So now he takes jobs. Helps some towns. Fixes some problems. Simple enough. Probably. Grace's Lament is deliberately dialogue-light. You'll spend your time platforming, fighting, exploring, and making decisions that can dramatically change what happens next. Sometimes those decisions happen through dialogue. Sometimes they don't. The game isn't going to stop every five minutes and announce that you're making an Important Moral Decision™. You're playing a game, not filling out a questionnaire. Pay attention to what you do. Fight your way through each level using multiple combat styles, platform through the world, take jobs from the Guild, and deal with whatever you find when you get there. Your choices can change levels, alter later events, open entirely different paths, and ultimately affect how Freedin's story ends. There is a true ending. There isn't necessarily one true path to it. Every quest is a choice. Every choice has weight. And somewhere between the sunshine and the smiling faces... you might start realizing how much. Or not. :3
