We decided to bring back two beloved gameplay ideas—with new characters, a fresh presentation, and a little mystery of our own. Meet two masters from the city’s forgotten past: The Illusionist can exchange their entire hand with another player or discard unwanted District cards and draw new ones. Your carefully prepared plans may not remain yours for long. The City Planner draws two additional District cards and may build up to three Districts in a single turn. Give them enough gold, and an empty street can become a city overnight. Legacy of the Old City introduces new opportunities for deception, rapid expansion, and unexpected reversals.
