  Version 1.2.1 has been released. This update adds the option to display icons over powerups and enemies indicating which colour they are, and adds an auto aim gameplay modifier (from the Torontron version, which only uses one analog stick).Changelog:Powerup Icons option added in the Settings menu under Visuals.Auto Aim option added in the Settings menu under Modifiers.Tallo: Boss health slightly reduced.

  This update includes bug fixes, small balance changes and colour customization. Pick from a preset of colours or choose colours for individual powerups. Colourblind-friendly alternative presets are included!Accessibility for colourblind players has been a longtime concern, and it's also been a design challenge since colour is used to communicate a lot of gameplay information at high speeds. (You need to know at a glance what powerup an enemy will drop so you can decide when to collect the powerup and plan its usage, all while destroying the enemy itself.) I hope this addition gets players a step closer to playing the game without visual barriers. • Sneak Peek: Custom Colours - 15 November 2025

  Coming to the next update: you can customize your powerup colours! Choose from preset combinations or choose your own individual colours with adjustable RGB values. Colourblind-friendly presets are also included for improved contrast and visibility.This update comes out next week, along with a few other changes. Stay tuned!

• CHROMA+ELEKTRON Early Access Announcement: May 2nd 2025 - 17 April 2025

  Hello! Thank you very much for your patience up until now. There haven't been many updates on this page but rest assured I'm still hard at work finishing the game. It seems more was needed to be done than expected. Hard to believe Next Fest was over a year ago...! While the game is not quite ready for a full release, I'm pleased to announce that the game will be available in Early Access on May 2 2025. The game is almost in a complete state but it requires more work for major bug fixes and polish. It is at a stage where gameplay elements are all present but are subject to change; player feedback would be extremely helpful and impactful, and new features could be added with enough interest!
