• Xbox Game Pass is losing some brilliant games soon - 16 August 2022

  The latest titles to come to Xbox Game Pass have been announced, and while there's some good titles on the way, it's also that time of the month again where we commiserate the great games that are soon to be leaving. Amongst the titles leaving is NBA 2K22 , Two Point Hospital , and Elite: Dangerous . So, I've bad news for both avid space explorers, basketball pros, and hospital managers alike, as all three will be bidding farewell to Xbox Games Pass on August 31. This isn't all, either. There's truly a cracking line-up of titles leaving in just a couple of weeks, which consists of a few quaint but enjoyable indie titles.   Halloo, gentle reader. Since we’re half way through the entire year of 2020 (yet somehow it is also still March?), we decided to run down, lasso and tie up some of our favourite games from the last six months, and force them into a nice list for you. 2020 still has plenty of new PC games to come, of course, but these are the ones closest to our little hearts so far. We’ve got strategy, we’ve got card games, we’ve got systematic reclamation of scraped spaceships. And, since Nate Crowley is one of the contributors to this list, we’ve got fish. • Signs Of The Sojourner turns dialogue into a deck-building demo - 17 May 2019

  I’ve seen a lot of dialogue systems in games. Some with dice-rolls, some with obscure glyphs, but none quite like Signs Of The Sojourner , which transforms conversation into a deck-building puzzle. Just announced by Echodog Games and aiming to release later this year, they’ve just released a playable alpha demo, available via their Discord channel to gather feedback. It’s a story about leaving home in the wake of a parent’s death, travelling, discovering delicious foods and trying to come away from every conversation with knowledge of how to talk to others better.
