- Fly fishing, new fish species and waters, and other improvements - 3 July 2023
Almost a year has passed since the last update and it was time to bring a few improvements to the game. These are suggestions from players, but also our own ideas that could be implemented. Originally, the update was supposed to be released in spring, but a tricky new fishing method took a little more time than planned: Fly-Fishing In addition to float and bottom lead fishing, spinning, spoon fishing and pilk fishing, fly fishing has been completely absent up to now. Not without reason, because this fishing method is difficult to implement in games. Now, however, it is possible to fish with a fly in (almost) all waters. The choice is made at the start of each map - you can choose between 'normal' fishing or fly fishing. - Many improvements, new fish species and venues - 6 July 2022
This update brings some improvements to the game. Among other things, all maps have been revised because many fishing waters had problems with the sun in the morning and evening hours. The result is worth seeing! On a trial basis, a subdivision of different fish species in different ponds has been implemented, which was not possible before (here in Finca Esperanza, Colombia). Some bugs in the game statistics have been fixed. In addition to new features, there are a few new maps in the current version. Competitions The competitions have been changed to a minimum of 2 days so that other players have a chance to participate. The short one-day version has been abolished. New: the competition archive, where you can now also view the results of older competitions. This Update fixes some minor bugs and has some minor changes. I.E. a message will pop up if you get near to usable boats. A new banchmark-tool will show you some technical data about the game and the performance. This update fixes a few minor bugs. New is an overview of all fishing waters, sorted by water name and by country. Also there are 4 new venues in game. Kiruna - Sweden Kiruna is located in the north of Sweden. In this map you can go fishing under the Aurora Borealis and listen to the singing ice. An impressive atmosphere. Wiehlmünden - Germany (Agger part 2) Wiehlmünden is a part of the Agger river in Germany with a small reservoir and a river mouth. Lake Klamm - Austria Lake Klamm is a beatiful place in the Alps in Austria. You can go fishing in the lake or a river under the weir. Amen - Netherlands This is a remote pond with no name near the town of Amen, Netherlands.

Apocalypse now! The world has been destroyed by comets and the zombie epidemic has swept mankind away. 29 weeks later you wake up from the coma and are the last survivor. What do you do first? The new update brings 2 completely new fishing modes. Story-Mode (experimental) You have to complete a variety of tasks, for example catch fish for a village feast or a big catfish and even use a pilk to detonate an old aircraft bomb. There are no limits with the different stories ːsteamhappyː At the moment the story mode is still 'experimental' because of course it hasn't been implemented for all waters yet and for later on a kind of evaluation with 'rewards' is planned. Canoe Spawn With the new update you can now spawn a canoe in every possible water (F4 key) and fish from boat! If you have accidentally placed the boat in the wrong place (for example on land), you can reposition the boat by pressing the F4 key several times. Display of the catches at the water Long overdue was the display of the catches made at the fishing waters. This is now possible (key F3)! New map: Serchio with Ponte del Diavolo (Italy) A pretty historic bridge, a large dam and big fish can be found in this varied body of water. Floats The new update will improve the float sinking animations. Each fish species has a different bite, but most will pull the float below the water surface. But there are also fish species wich willraise the float, i.e. carp, bream, barbel and others. This, too, has been taken into account. Private Tournaments Until now, only public competitions were possible. If you want to hold a competition with relatives or friends, you can now do so! After just 2 weeks another update is available. The game was translated to Russian. Of course the translation may be not perfect because it was translated with software, but it's better than nothing. ːsteamhappyː New fishing water Lake Prag (Southtyrol, Italy) A place in the Dolomites and a real natural paradise, unfortunately overcrowded with tourists. In the game the tourists were simply removed and you have the whole lake for yourself. The clear mountain water is a paradise for salmonids of all kinds. New fish species European bass, Japanese masu salmon, permit, rooster and giant sail- and swordfish have been added. And another new 'fish species'.
