- Ingame Alerts, Excessive Turtling Fix, UI, Balance, Unmaker bug - 24 July 2026
Last patch broke things? A message from the developerHi everyone! I spent a few hundred hours a month or two ago to create a big new patch with tons of improvements. Many things have gotten a lot better, but it does seem like the testing I did back then wasn't thorough enough: I have had a few reports and negative reviews which I assume are directly related to those changes/that patch. I am still gathering more information, but I have worked around the clock the last few days to figure out the main issues and I have addressed all the issues that could be identified. I hope this covers most of the negative community pushback, and I also added a bunch of new things to improve quality of life features. Hopefully this made the experience for everyone who had a negative experience a lot better from here on out!I dont have all the information yet, but if I did miss anything caused by the late…
- Major update! New computer opponents and automation options! - 14 May 2026
Brand new Computer Opponents for SkirmishNew computer controlled players (“Bots” / “CPU Players”) are now available in both Single Player and Multiplayer Skirmish modes.Players can add bots to their own team or fight against fully bot controlled teams. Bots now feature different difficulty levels and personality settings, allowing players to find the perfect ally or opponent for their preferred playstyle.Besides the ability to operate in teams and participate in multiplayer skirmishes, the new bots also differ from the old ones in how they actually "play". There are no more "money cheats" for bots, they now rely on the same economy gains as players. The ships they build are no longer randomized either, but instead follow specific builds, each with its own designated role and tactics.Available bot personalities:Aggressive (prefers offensive actions)Balanced (acts according to situation i…
- New AI coming as well as lobby selections - 29 April 2026

- Major Gameplay Update – Full 3D Fleet Control - 4 March 2026
Major Gameplay Update – Full 3D Fleet ControlA Major Milestone for Stellar WarfareThis update represents one of the largest gameplay overhauls so far for Stellar Warfare.Over the past months we have rebuilt the camera and navigation systems to properly support commanding fleets in true three-dimensional space.Previously the control model behaved closer to a traditional ground RTS projected into space. With this update, fleets can now be commanded naturally across vertical space, allowing battles to unfold across multiple altitude layers with much clearer control and visibility.Several parts of this overhaul directly address feedback we received from players about:Camera behaviour during large battlesDifficulties controlling fleets at high altitudeSpatial orientation in complex engagementsNavigation clarity when commanding multiple unitsMany players also asked for a camera system closer…

Hey everyone! Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been working on recently. - Loud intro fix + skip intro button - 30 August 2025
After someone told me the skip intro button didn't work I went and investigated. Actually a few things were unset for some reason, and I've managed to fix it. The intro video is loud in any case. So I've now set the volume for it a lot lower. No need to make anyone deaf! That said, it does sometimes seem to still revert to the old volume. Luckily the skip intro button should now work again, so it should be able to get skipped from the options menu for those still experiencing issues (just scroll down in the options menu and tick the box 'skip intro'). More updates are coming and a few of them are quite large. We're doing the best with the tools we have currently and we'll keep you guys posted on anything significant!

If we have the opportunity to support more languages, we will. On that note, if you are a fluent Arabic speaker or know someone who is, please contact us on Discord. We will require your help testing the Arabic localisation. If you find anything wrong with the existing translations, please report them here…

- Happy Hour drop rates & balance patch! - 10 November 2024
We're currently working on adding various languages to Stellar Warfare. In the meantime we felt like a balance patch was well overdue as well as some other changes. We fixed a bug in the fleet editor causing an overload of brightness, making the entire scene blinding when rotating certain ships engine trails. That is now fixed. We added a 'Happy Hour' 3x per day, in which the drop rate is up to 3x higher! This should help those of you who don't have a lot of time to play to have specific moments in which this is a little easier. The following ships and weapons have been updated: Ships: Type-D Health 1300 to 1500 Hive Changed health from 4400 to 4600 Stinger Changed health from 80 to 90 Weapons: Auto Brawler Damage changed from 22 to 28 Azauri MK2 Damage changed from 72 to 80 Buckshot Damage changed from 24 to 29 Double Barrel Xati Damage changed from 32 to 40 Duo Cannon Damage changed f…

- Fixed objectives no longer being displayed in the tutorial - 11 August 2024
The adding of the 2.5 campaign mission caused objectives in the tutorial to no longer show up. That is now fixed as well as some other minor fixes.
- Intermezzo campaign mission + direct control improvements - 4 July 2024

Among other things we have: Added a campaign intermezzo mission (two more coming) Improved direct control controls Improved various GUI elements Fixed bugs reported by the community Fixed bugs related to the save/load functionality Polished a bunch of planets and other system elements Designed a new mission full of temporary weapons, modules, planets and enemies Along with the above we've looked into localization since that has been often requested as well and we might do something with that in the near future. Share your ideas! We also want to give you guys the opportunity to contribute to the project by sharing your ideas. Feel free to make a community post on the discussion boards with the title prefixed with 'Idea:' + your idea. You can then share your ideas for new ships, missions, weapons or modules. We'll go over each of the submissions there and see if w…
- Infinite waves are here! - 2 April 2024
An often requested feature was infinite waves for the wave defense game mode. We've had to brainstorm a bit on how to best implement it, but I think we found a good solution. You can now toggle the infinite waves checkbox in the wave survival setup menu. Instead of 1 big boss after 10 waves you now get a mini-boss assault-platform that attacks you every fifth wave! They have long range weaponry but aren't especially tanky... Their damage output is serious though! In addition to that we did the following: Added the multi-ion beamweapon Adding a techfrigate with built in self-repair and 4 module slots SAVE/LOAD support in all Single Player game modes Fixed randomizer error preventing type B to be spawn. Added the Support Platform wave miniboss Added the Support Platform type B wave miniboss Improved the visuals for several menus Updated the visuals of the scorescreen Updated the splashscr…

- Major update: 3D fleet maneuvers, superweapon, modding - 15 October 2023
Space maneuvers Big update time! There have been a few cases in which I've had the feedback that the current battles look a bit static. The effects are nice, but the ships weren't really moving during combat. This update will address that issue. Your ships will now enter space acrobatics and will dance around the enemy ships in an attempt to avoid projectiles. At the same time the majority of their guns will remain trained upon their victims! You can toggle this behavior on or off in the bottom right of your screen. All selected ships will then adjust their behavior accordingly. Superweapon In addition to that we now also have The Unmaker! A superweapon that shoots a weaponized sun towards the enemy. Technology has come a long way in the future and they've managed to keep the sun stable enough to launch it towards whatever enemy target you wish. It will lose cohesion upon impact though,…
