    Version 1.15 - Pufferfishes were added, and can be unlocked as playable characters by reaching at least Level 30. If you were already at, or past, Level 30 before the update, just play through one match in any mode and win the match to unlock them. Auto-damage on physical contact; useful when you don't have any Energy. Can cause illness to anyone who comes into contact with them, whether opponent or ally. They lose health in land environments. Selecting all Fish/Sea Creature types spawns the underwater stage where they don't lose health. - Cold-Blooded animals move even slower in cold temperatures, and even faster in hot temperatures, within limits. Their movement speed gets set to a fixed number in both cases, so all of them will move at the same speed in the same temperatures, regardless of skill level number and base stats. - Omni-Species can change its attack type again.   • Version 1.08 - 1 October 2020

    - Spiders added. Spiders can use multiple items at once since they have the "Extra Appendages" Feature. They use their "Web" attack which can cause the Immobilized status to any opponent or ally. Does not affect other spiders. - Stages added (three): one cave-themed, one dawn-themed, and a grass field-themed stage. - Item usage now has a graphical effect. - Projectile damage was made more accurate (it was previously counting damage more than once per frame). - Full-Screen (borderless) is now available, and is displayed by default.

  • Accepted into the GDC Summer 2020 Community Art Gallery - 31 July 2020

    The main cover image for Zoological Era II was accepted into the GDC Summer 2020 Community Art Gallery. The virtual art gallery will be free to view, and you can see the entire collection of game art submitted by others. I'm so happy that they allowed my work into this, and can't wait to see what other art they have in there.

    - Switching between available A.I. Group members has been implemented. Items can only be used by non-defeated members as a result. - Two items can be used at once if your creature has the "Extra Appendages" Feature. - Water-themed stage added that spawns when all Crabs are chosen. - Statuses were given visual indicators. - Controller buttons can be customized. - Abilities have been added and can be accessed from the menu. Certain Features that come with a creature will grant the use of these Abilities. An example is Flying, which allows you to adjust the flying height of the player. - Item added, Trickster's Bag, which gives a chance to put a random status effect on an opponent. - A.I. opponents can now use items.   • Multiplayer - 24 October 2019

    Version 1.05 - Multiplayer Mode for offline gameplay added. - Movement speed increased for player-controlled characters. - Auto Difficulty setting put in for applicable modes to automatically set CPU opponent levels similar to the player's level. Other difficulty settings still remain. - Depth displayed adjusted, particularly for damage indicator. - Text for Mage's "Heal" move was changed to more accurately explain that Group members had to be nearby. - Error fixed with duplicate text displaying on Cure-All item.

  • Controller Support - 10 September 2019

    Version 1.04 - Compatible with a PS4 controller, and Joy-Con. Allows interaction with characters, gameplay, and menus. - Attack Energy error fixed where pressing a certain button while attacking would cause it to excessively drain. - Menus and some prompts/indicators were slightly changed for some options to help accommodate for the controller update. Controls were updated in the menu.

  • Omni-Species Is Now Playable - 26 August 2019

    Version 1.02 - Omni-Species is now playable after defeating him in Arcade Mode. - A.I. characters can now go after their target moving forward and backward. Previously, it was just from side to side for CPU characters. - Attack ranges were increased to be able to hit from farther away. - Menus were made easier to navigate. - Reptile health regeneration was increased to be more noticeable. - Statuses of Illness and Injury had damage increased to compensate for the Reptile regeneration increase. - Merchant area can be accessed after Quick Battle matches. -------- Previous Update Included: Version 1.01 - Stage added. - Music for snow stage was changed. - In-game Currency earned can now be used in the Merchant area before the last boss of Arcade mode.
