There was the hosting crisis that knocked us offline in early 2025, and then, on April 1, 2026 - unfortunately, not an April Fools’ joke - the game servers began spiraling out of control and taking down the hardware hosting Fallen Earth. We rebooted and started troubleshooting, but the issue returned immediately. That was followed by a separate incident at our EU data center involving a power surge and a small fire. Hello everyone, For players who may have missed our updates on social media and updates on our Steam Forums, we want to provide a full recap of what has been happening behind the scenes over the past few weeks and share the latest progress on restoring our servers. On February 2nd, all three of our world wide data centers went dark and all our servers went offline without notice. We were informed by our primary network hosting provider they had encountered a serious issue requiring an unspecified amount of days to fix. This forced Fallen Earth and GamersFirst offline. Unfortunately, we were not provided with an ETA at the time, but we immediately began working with our provider to resolve the issue. Hi all, Today is a very bittersweet day. In the coming weeks prior to September 22nd, we will be launching the first all new event in honor of the 10 year anniversary for Fallen Earth. We hope that players will enjoy what we have planned, because this will now be their last chance to play the current game with their friends. Effective 10/2 (or there about based on when the event goes live), we will be taking the Fallen Earth servers offline. Unfortunately after weeks of monitoring things and getting players feedback, we have determined the current state of Fallen Earth just isn't sustainable in its current form. You guys have been very tolerant, but the player experience is terrible right now. It's laggy and buggy. Servers crash quite often, and stacking is still disabled due to exploits. We were near the home stretch and had a portion of the backup fail. We've now restarted that portion and are estimating that the server should be up at approximately 7 pm provided all goes well. Thank you all for your patience during this outage, we will not stop until the server is back in service.

The Fallen Earth servers are coming back in service and we apologize for the unexpected downtime. We have isolated a problem with the Auction House that was causing lag in various forms (chat, item, spawning). All items on that were placed on the Auction House will fall under one of these categories: 1. if your auction had a buyout price, you'll be receiving that buyout instead of getting the item back 2. if there is no buyout price and no bidder, we're sending the items back to the owner for the Auction. Bids and posting fees should be returned as normal by the auction system. 3. if you were the highest bidder on an auction, you'll receive the item . This will happen over the course of the next 4 hours. We will be sending out compensation to all players that have logged in over the last 90 days.
