Don't forget to get the game on Steam for free to play alongside this live workshop. With Book of Beasts we have created an indie collectible card game CCG that reimagines the rules a strategic card game can work with. We have added a shared game board with spatial features where both players place their cards drawn from their decks. However, this is pretty hard to understand for new players. We have received the feedback that we should redesign the onboarding sequence of the game with a more accessible, interactive tutorial. In this 1-hour workshop, we want to introduce the game, its rules and then show an interactive game tutorial that we have prototyped in Figma. We hope we can collaboratively create a better onboarding to give more players a chance to enjoy Book of Beasts.
