It features a couple of new things that we know players have been asking for, as well as some balancing fixes! New Features: Ability to Save and Exit a run at the warp gate exit You'll now be able to continue on from the next level at the main menu! We know lots of folks are busy, and when you've found THE RUN it's hard to put down - now you're able to do that safely at each end gate, and pick up where you left off next time you play! We've just popped out a REALLY EXCITING UPDATE, full of NEW FEATURES, a brand new EASY MODE and a couple of big bug fixes! Here's what's new in version 1.1.0: New Features: Special “Grimheart Badges” have been added which can be unlocked by completing in-game achievements. Each badge dramatically alters gameplay, and they can be stacked to create unique combinations. Grimheart Badges: High Octane (everything moves faster) Danmaku (more projectiles, slower speed) Wild Guns (random guns every time you dodge) Only Need One (start the game with only 1 heart) Easy difficulty: Players can now lower the game’s difficulty by toggling a setting in the options menu. The easier difficulty lowers enemy fire rates and projectile speeds, and increases health and gold drops - this results in a slower-paced, more relaxed experience. - Crossy Road developer unveils top-down space Western shooter TombStar - 4 August 2020
Marcus Grambau and Andy Sum, the developer behind massive mobile hit Crossy Road, have unveiled TombStar - a rootin', tootin' top-down "space Western" shooter, which will be making its way to PC and consoles next year. Unfolding at the outer reaches of the Frontier Galaxy, TombStar pits players against an assortment of gun-toting miscreants - "from pistol-wielding cowpokes to robots with death lasers", according to the official announcement - across four visually distinct planets. What follows is a blend of "tough, bullet hell gunplay and winding procedural exploration" (with roguelike elements) inspired by 80s cartoons, all of which can be tackled using one of three playable renegades, each with their own special powers. Why did the game developer cross the road? To make a living, probably, but after traversing dozens of mobile highways it’s about time to look to the stars. Announced earlier today, Tombstar sees Crossy Road developer Andy Sum team up with designer Marcus Grambau in ditching the sidewalk to pick up a sci-fi six-shooter sometime this year.
