• The Final Update is out now! - 20 November 2020

  Hey folks! One year ago Exphelius: Arena arrived on Steam in Early Access, and throughout the year your feedback and ideas have been heard, with 3 major content updates bringing new features to the table. Today marks the end of Exphelius: Arena's development with one final big update, adding two new maps, a tutorial mode, partial controller support, QoL changes and many bug fixes. The Tutorial A basic tutorial level has been added to the game, and new players will have this mode selected. It's a small arena with several powerup pads and a 'dummy' Corvus ship that does no damage for you to try out the weapons on. There are also control schemes printed on the background of the map for your reference. Controller Support Controller support has been added during matches. • Save the Date - Exphelius Full Release - 9 November 2020

  Hey everyone! Exphelius: Arena has been on Steam for almost a year now, and in that time there has been lots of new content added to the game. In the beginning there were only 4 maps and that was basically it. No progression, and only a handful of powerups that didn't do much. On the game's anniversary, November 18th, Exphelius: Arena will be officially leaving Early Access and having its final content update. • The Powered Update - Now Live! - 26 October 2020

  The second major content update for Exphelius: Arena is now live! With this update comes an overhaul to both the in-game UI and combat system. New powerups and weapons have also been added, along with two new unique maps with deadly hazards. The Combat The UI for vitals (health, shields and boost) has been improved to look more modern and take up less of the screen. At the bottom of the screen is now a display for your currently equipped primary and secondary weapon - a new feature. Certain powerups now occupy the new secondary weapon slot. Health and Shield powerups can now be carried and activated at will rather than being used up upon collection. New powerups have been added to take advantage of this feature, such as missiles, mines and the EMP, which can stun ships in its radius, giving you time to finish them off without being attacked. • Quickplay Parts Update - Now Live! - 21 February 2020

  The wait is over as the first content update arrives for Exphelius: Arena! With this update comes many new features, overhauls, fixes and improvements. Several changes and fixes have also been made thanks to your feedback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMRb9KbnW8Y&feature=youtu.be The Parts At the end of each match, you will receive XP and Cash, and if you were victorious, a new part will be offered to you. You will have the option to equip the new part, or keep your old part. Using your cash, you can purchase new parts from the part shop. These parts come in 4 types - Thrusters, Hull, Shield and Weapons, and installing them offer randomised stat bonuses to your ship depending on their rarity.   Hey folks, hope you all had a good holiday! A lot has been happening in the development of the next set of updates for Exphelius: Arena. More specifically, preparation for the first rollout of Campaign mode, but more so the overhaul of Quickplay. Lots of changes to the code base and optimisation as well as some AI tweaks means a more performance-friendly experience. On top of that, lots of new features and content to keep you playing. • Welcome to Exphelius: Arena - 10 November 2019

  Hey folks, Khaeops here from Pharazen Studios! Only a week remains until the initial launch of Exphelius: Arena! With that in mind I thought I'd let you all know a bit more about this game, what it means to us and our plans for the future. Exphelius: Arena is currently a solo project. I (Khaeops) am the sole creator of the story and the assets, such as the code, music, artwork and design. The only exception at the moment is some sound effects, which come from purchased asset packs. This game is an Early Access title, which means it is in development whilst also being available to the public to purchase, play and review as they please. I cannot promise you that this game becomes what you wish it to be, but I can promise you that this game will be finished in the near future.
