Hi everyone! I'm excited to announce that version 1.11 is now live! As I've said previously, this is the last backer update and introduces some new content as well as a new character. I will continue support on the game in the form of bug fixes and other updates, and it's not out of the question that I may add some content later down the road. But if you're looking for a "100% complete" version of the game, this update is going to be pretty close. Memoirs has been a long road, and one issue I find myself constantly thinking about is whether I hid certain concepts too deeply within the content, or behind various obfuscating layers. Perhaps even to the most dedicated finder of secrets, it will appear too disorganized. This is another part of my craft I intend to improve on for the sequel. This is the last planned backer update that I have in the schedule, as I have switched full gear into working on the sequel to Memoirs. Hi everyone, hope your new year is starting off on the right foot! As for me, this is going to be a very busy year, but I'm looking forward to it. The vast majority of my time will be spent on Vampire Syndicate, although I am still finishing up the final backer update for Memoirs, adding on some additional content for my joke parody art project, Baldr's Squid Isekai, and continuing to assist one of my good friends with their own project, That Which Rises. With Memoirs, I often found myself upset with what I personally think are some mistakes I've made in the narrative of the game. There are parts that can be confusing, and while I intended for much of it to be open to interpretation and steeped in mystery... I think I overdid it. - Working on the final backer update - 6 November 2024
Hi everyone! Just a quick note that I'm working on the final backer update, and what will probably be the final content update overall for Memoirs (bug patches will continue as needed). The update will mostly be lore-related and deal with the Infinite Library, which is mentioned both in-game and in the companion lorebook. There will also be a new romancable character. Hi everyone! Just thought I would make an announcement regarding the future of the series and changes that I'm considering. As many of you know, so far all of my games have been made in RPGMaker, specifically the MV version. Personally, I think the engine is very good at what it does, and I owe it a lot. Without it, I wouldn't be able to make games. However, it is also very limited in many ways. I have always planned to switching to a more flexible game engine for my games. And for a very long time, it has been one of those "I'll do it one day" thoughts in my mind. That day might be here. I am considering using Unreal Engine 5 for the sequel to Memoirs, Vampire Syndicate, as well as possibly some future games. This does not necessarily mean I will be dropping RPGmaker entirely.
