  For those who supported Lazer Z, we want to express our genuine gratitude. When we launched into Early Access back in December 2019, we were excited about the potential of the project and the direction the genre was heading. Over the following six months, we pushed updates, refined mechanics, and worked hard to build something fun and energetic. Your enthusiasm and encouragement during that time meant more to us than you may realise.Unfortunately, life had other plans. • Atmospheric Update Now Available - 22 June 2020

  G'Day from the Land Downunder, We are super excited to bring you the Atmospheric Update for Laser Z. It's taken a few weeks longer to complete, but we are pumped with the results. Early versions of Laser Z used a very low poly neon retro look to ensure performance didn't suffer. As we progressed on the Early Access journey we made several significant changes to the underlying game calculations to improve performance. This allowed us to focus more on the look and feel of the game and to create worlds and levels that are more engaging and immersive. We are now hard at work on the next update which will feature: New World 7 in World mode with 10 new levels. Introduction of the new Boss - Orange Boss! A new survival mode featuring only Bosses! Updates in this release: Completely new look and feel for World Game, Survival Mode and Defender Mode Previous Gunslinger Mode and Party Mode merged…

• Atmospheric Update Coming Soon - 5 May 2020

  Howdy All, IT's been a little bit since our last update and we wanted to let y'all know about the upcoming Atmospheric Update for Laser Z. Our intention had been to release the latest world - World 7 - in World Progression mode. While this is still in development, we've accelerated our plans around the vibe of the game. Up until now we've been using an 80's retro look for early testing to allow us to develop enough the of the level engine to have a good read on performance. We are pretty happy with performance and now have the headroom to increase and improve the visual effects and imagery of the game. We don't have a firm release date yet but we are targeting the next 3-4 weeks for the release. In the mean time we'd like to share some screen shots of the new visuals.

• Laser Z 0.1.6 Released - 21 March 2020

  Calling all Streamers, YouTubers and Content Creators, we are really, really exited to announce full LIV Mixed Reality Support. Set up your camera, load up Laser Z and let the good times roll. We've had a blast adding LIV support and have got carried away recording ourselves to see who can finish a level looking the coolest. Look for some our play videos to be uploaded shortly and we can't wait to see what you can do. A huge shoutout to Dr Doom and the LIV team for a great product and fantastic support. We are currently working on World 7 and excited about the new challenges it brings. We are targeting a mid April release.

• Laser Z 0.1.5 Released - 8 March 2020

  It's been a little while since our last update but finally we are ready with World 6 - Ring of Fire. This world contains some of our most creative and challenging levels requiring us to spend extra time to get them right. This update brings the total number of levels in World Mode to 58. Updates in this release: World 6 with 10 all new levels Introduction of the first Power Down - Instant Death A new boss - Green Boss - to battle with New music for World 4 Defender Mode has been tweaked to make it more challenging and fun! Bug fixes in this release: The freezing between screen transitions has been fixed.

• Laser Z 0.1.4 Released - 5 January 2020

  We just can't help ourselves, it's a new game mode, so Welcome to the Dome. We are still working on World 6 and some scene transition issues, but in the mean time step into the Dome where cubes will come from different angles requiring you to be quick of hand and fleet of foot. In new Defender Mode, Ejector ports on the side of the dome will shoot cubes at you. You will need to defend yourself as the cubes will be shot in your general direction. As the levels increase, you will be faced with additional Ejector ports as well as the cubes getting faster and faster. Getting hit by a cube - game over. Miss a cube - game over. Grab your laser rods and prepare to stand your ground. Defender Mode also features a new 80's style soundtrack so pump up the bass! Let us know in the comments what you think of the new game mode and what we can do to improve it.

• Laser Z 0.1.3 Update - Happy New Year - 31 December 2019

  Just in time for the New Year, Laser Z 0.1.3 adds a whole new world - World 5 - to World Mode. Introducing new cubes types - fading and disappearing - to the existing stable of stop and go cubes, cubes from four directions and Power Ups, World 5 steps up the challenge level. Progress through 10 levels to see if you've got what it takes to beat World 5. We have stepped up the difficulty on this world so your feedback as always is really important. We are currently working on the following for the next update: World 6 - introduces the concept of the Power Down - these levels will make you sweat Improving transition between scenes to reduce the freezing effect. We are still early in the Early Access path (pardon the pun :-) ) and your feedback on shaping the direction and content of Laser Z is really appreciated.

• Laser Z now available in Early Access - 13 December 2019

  We are excited to announce the availability of Laser Z in Early Access. Channeling the nostalgia of the 80's with it's gameplay and visuals (not to mention really cool original soundtrack), it's easy to learn but challenging to master. We are excited for you to play the game and are really looking forward to your feedback. New Worlds and Levels are currently under development as well as new Challenge Mode. Work is also underway on a Level Editor for you to build, play and share your own levels.
