Today I want to share the game director, Dimas Novan’s favorite character in A Space for the Unbound, and a glimpse of the process in the character design. It might be obvious to you that Dimas’ favorite character is Raya. At first, I assumed it was because Raya is a female protagonist with supernatural power. But, when I asked him why, he quickly answered, “The game itself exists because of Raya. The world, the story, and every detail are built around her.” When A Space for the Unbound started seven years ago, Raya was initially designed to be more valiant and menacing, compared to the final design we see today.
