- Blocks!: Hammer of the Scots Early Access - 22 July 2020
Blocks!: Hammer of the Scots has just arrived on Steam via the Early Access program. It's Avalon Digital's third in their series of Blocks! games, each based on a tabletop original from Columbia Games. I've had the opportunity to spend some time with an early version to see how things are looking. Now, Early Access can be a gamble. Sometimes it's a great way to get our mitts on a yet-to-be-released title. It can also let us take part in the beta testing of a game and help shape its development. At its worst, it's handing over money for a product that isn't quite ready for prime time and maybe never will be. You take your chances, but there are reasons to be optimistic about Hammer of the Scots. As another in the Blocks! line, it is built on the shoulders of its predecessors. Tonight, the latest Blocks! game, Hammer of the Scots, is entering Early Access. This campaign's goal is to check that all features work well, improve those already present that players find necessary to focus on, and most generally make the game better. Provided we get them approved by Steam, prices during this period will be lower than the official version. We count on your participation and support to make that game a great success
