The CEO of GTA The Trilogy Definitive Edition developer Grove Street Games has responded to the game's latest update. Though GTA 6 is now its main focus, Rockstar recently launched a fix for the remastered versions of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas which reintroduced the weather and sky effects from the original editions of each game. The opening 'splash' screen was also changed - the new version excludes any mention of Grove Street Games. The developer is still listed in the closing credits, however, but immediately following the update, there was speculation that mentions of Grove Street Games may have been removed from GTA The Trilogy entirely. In light of this, the developer's CEO describes the update as "dick move" on behalf of Rockstar, and says that it contains fixes that "stayed out of players' hands for years." Achievement images for the upcoming (but still officially unannounced) remasters of GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas have spilled online, in the latest leak pointing to the buffed up trilogy's imminent reveal. The new achievement art, posted to Twitter by GTANet , come from an update to Rockstar's own game launcher made available this week. Game icons for the three remasters were also found. Kotaku reported last month that the three remasters were being developed by Rockstar Dundee (formerly Ruffian Games) and worked on in Unreal Engine. A team of modders is ceasing work on a project called GTA: Underground after six years of work, citing "increasing hostility towards the modding community" and an "imminent danger" to their mental and financial well-being. The decision comes as news broke last week that Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, is suing a separate team that's behind a GTA 3 and Vice City reverse-engineering project . One of the project's developers, Dkluin, took to GTAForums to reveal the decision, confirming that the team would be taking all official uploads offline and that development on the project would cease.
