You can switch to the new language in the main menu options.A quick heads-up: This is my first time implementing support for a logographic writing system. While we’ve tested it thoroughly, I apologize in advance for any potential technical hiccups that might have slipped through. The first part of Heroines of Swords & Spells is getting Chinese localization! But for this very reason, the release of Heroines of Swords & Spells 2 is being moved to November 27, 2025.I apologize to the players for yet another delay. I really didn't want to test your trust, but some unforeseen issues have come up and they require additional time to resolve.It was a wonderful surprise that Zephyr Lee was able to fully translate Act 1 of Heroines of Swords & Spells into Chinese in such a short time. I'm currently preparing a patch to add the new language to the game, but this requires a significant refactoring. Some plugins and scripts were originally written to support only two languages, Russian and English. Chinese characters require special text-wrapping rules, and these rules mustn't ‘accidentally’ affect the other languages.I hope Zephyr Lee doesn't abandon Heroines of Swords & Sp…

Apologies to those who were expecting the game specifically in September. Testing took longer than originally planned. To avoid having to rush out a “Day 1 patch,” followed by a “Day 2 patch,” and so on (turning players into unpaid testers), we decided to move the release date to November 7, 2025. I hope you’ll stick with us until then! There’s also good news! We’ve managed to resolve the issue of transferring saves from the first Heroines of Swords & Spells. A patch will be released soon along with detailed instructions on how to carry over your saves. Those who want to try the feature can already test save transfers in the Heroines of Swords & Spells 2 demo. The demo includes the full story of the first part (excluding the "Green Furries" DLC). This means: you should only buy the original game for Steam cards, achievements, or to support the developer — thank you for your help! The new content in Heroines of Swords and Spells 2 will take about 2–3 hours (out of total 50), but it promises to be packed with action and showcase how much the game has evolved since the release of the first part. Overall, completing the demo will take around 10 hours — 8 hours from the first act and 2 hours from the second. After developing and releasing 3 “Murder Is Game Over” titles in 2 years, I’ve had some time to pause and reflect on what I like most about each one. These are my thoughts on the series as a whole. Best exploration – Murder Is Game Over My initial concept for this game was to have a murder mystery that emphasized exploration much more inspired by RPGs than adventure games. In hindsight, the world design from the first game was well done in terms of giving the player freedom to move around the world at their choosing. The map shape is based on a series of interconnecting circles including the castle's ground floor, connecting the second floor and the sealed wing, and finally, a secret passage connecting the castle to the surrounding countryside. The method of murder also relies heavily on the way the map makes a seemingly inaccessible area easy to reach through a clever shortcut. Not onl…
