  Hello! By any measure, the launch of Nighthawks has been pretty successful... but we're not done yet! Inevitably, games have bugs. And what do we do when we see bugs? We patch them. Here's the first batch that have been escorted to the exit by their shirt collars and thrown out onto the street. • Nighthawks review – a series of vignettes that sometimes excel but more often falter - 22 September 2026

  Nighthawks , the 1942 painting by Edward Hopper, is generally described as portraying loneliness. The four people at the diner counter are dwarfed by the empty, cold openness of the street. But the inside of the diner looks warm. One man sits apart, but the other two patrons might be a couple, their hands close. The worker seems to be watching them, perhaps thinking of somebody he’ll return to after his shift. Nighthawks, the 2026 vampire RPG, takes this same sensation, connection in the middle of isolation, and plays it much less subtly. When it works, it manages to tell sub-stories that will stick with me like the glow of a friendly building late at night. But it doesn’t always work. Read more

• Nighthawks officially rated "Not Porn" by Valve! - 15 September 2026

  Last weekend, Nighthawks was mistakenly classified as “Adults Only” by Valve. This put Nighthawks into a category usually reserved for porn games and rendered it almost invisible on the Steam storefront. It was hidden in searches, required credit card–based age verification in some territories, and was removed from some territories entirely. At the risk of disappointing some players, Nighthawks is NOT porn. Sexy? Sure. Deals with mature themes? Definitely. Porn? Most definitely not. Anyone playing Nighthawks expecting lots of sex and nudity will leave very disappointed. Any sexy scenes are text only, and the few scenes with nudity are presented with strategically placed props and hands covering up the naughty bits.   Wadjet Eye Games - the studio behind modern-day point-and-click adventure classics including Unavowed and the Blackwell supernatural detective series - has revealed its latest publishing endeavour: developer Curiosity Engine's vampire-themed urban fantasy yarn Nighthawks.
