The 1.08 Patch is here with some serious fixes and improvements:The entire save/load system has been reprogrammed to fix many bugs. All previous save files are now invalid. We apologize for this, but it was necessary to fix those errors.Fixed the player being frozen when a game was loaded or restarted during a cutscene or while in the pawn-o-matic.Profile save files are not deleted until a new game is started for that profile.Accelerated the save profile handling when navigating menus.Optimized some entity string data to reduce save file size and allow faster save and load processing.Destroyed object fragments now being saved. Welcome to the 1.07 patch! This update is focused on fixing AI related issues. • AI cast-members flinch less easily when hit. Added difficulty scaling so the harder the level, the less likely to flinch. • Navigation improved overall for hired and enemy cast. • Cast are less likely to get stuck on angled floors in the Sewer. • Cast more consistently attack enemies, but a hired guy with a pipe will still be hesitant to attack a cast with a pistol or more powerful weapon. • Hired cast will immediately follow the player. No more having to specifically order a dude to follow after hiring. • Cast less likely to 'forget' what they are doing. • Scared cast will now check more frequently if they should stop hiding or trying to run through locked doors. • Territory is now consistently respected. Welcome to the Kingpin: Reloaded 1.06 update! This update focuses on improving high-priority stability and progression issues. The team thanks you for your patience while we have been working on these improvements. Bug Fixes 1. Fixed many crashes when starting the game. 2. Failures that previously showed only a black screen or crashed to the desktop will now exit the game gracefully and show an error dialog with a descriptive code. These were mostly due to machines that did not reach the minimum specification. 3. Fixed a crash when loading Steel Town saved games. This should also fix other unexpected or rare crashes when loading saved games in other hubs. 4. Fixed a bug where it was impossible to get the Quest Master achievement. 5. I was very pleasantly surprised when 3D Realms announced in January 2020 that a remaster of the 1999 FPS Kingpin: Life of Crime was in the works. It's not an especially well-known shooter, but I have fond memories of its extreme violence, grimy ambience, endless profanity, and overall sense of silliness—it's a game that aspired to be as over-the-top as possible on all fronts. Hey everyone! I want to give you all an update on KP Reloaded, and why it's taking so long. Early this year we revealed the game, with the goal of releasing the game this summer. However, some major changes have happened during development, which is why we've decided to delay the game. We decided earlier this year to change our approach to the Remaster. As you all know, the original source code for Kingpin no longer exists, so our original plan was to "Recreate" the game in a modern engine (The same approach Nightdive uses for their KexEngine games). However, during this, we quickly realized that in order to get the game to Feel 100% like the original (Including the fantastic path-finding for AI, etc.), a better approach would be to reverse engineer the original game and engine completely, essentially re-creating the missing sources from scratch. First we want to thank everyone for hanging in there! It's been some crazy months since we first revealed Kingpin Reloaded, and things are going quite well! You might wonder: Where are all the news? How about some updates huh? Are we going to see anything from Kingpin Reloaded at Realms Deep? The short answer is YES! Right after we revealed the game at PAX South earlier this year, we realized that we had to drastically change the technical approach to this game, in order for us to make sure the Reloaded version would feel as authentic as possible.
