General It is now always possible to reach all 3 elites on the map. Bug Fixes The below were hotfixes during the previous patch. A hero being kept alive by Crown of the Banshee will no longer be the target of healing effects from the Cleric, Druid, or Bloodmage, or the items Brain Sage and Maiden's Mirror. The map no longer disappears when progressing the Temporal Anomaly event dialogue very quickly. Hey all, This update is adding 4 additional languages to the game: Russian Spanish Portuguese German Other changes: The battle log has seen a minor visual change - there are now icons for swapping between the types of battle data. Added the secret hotkey combination "CTRL+H" to hide hero auras. Hero auras will return the next time the game is launched. Fixed some minor occurrences of English displaying when English isn't the selected language. Fixed a bug where the upgrade hammer was interactable inside menus. With Simplified Chinese being added a month ago, there are now 6 total languages! The game has come a long way since it's original release, all thanks to feedback and suggestions from the community. Hey all, The highly requested Astronarch translation is now rolling out. Simplified Chinese is just the first of many languages coming to the game before the end of the year. - The Keys of Fate - Alternate Final Boss (v.1.6.0) - 24 June 2021
Hey all! This final content update brings a brand new final boss. The new boss is the original entity which was corrupted, leading to the events seen in the game. This also acts as a teaser for the prequel now in development, as this boss is the protagonist. I am now ready to reveal the title of the new game will be "Primarch", releasing some time in 2022. Victor of a planet wide gauntlet, the Primarch absorbed the abilities of all it defeated. The Primarch toggles between 5 sets of abilities (6 on C20). I recommend a slightly more aggressive party than you would build for the regular final boss - bringing too much healing in place of damage will cause the Primarch to eventually scale out of control. General Changes There is now an option in the settings to always display the stats of heroes. Types of damage are now named when you hover them in the battle log. A clickable button to pick a random hero is now visible in the tavern. There is now more hotkeys, and all hotkeys can now be changed in the settings. The hotkeys are: Sell Item (while hovering or dragging, only at a merchant) - F key (default). Toggle Map (open and closed) - W key (default). Start Combat - Space (default). Swap Hero Areas - A key (default). Pick Random Hero (at tavern) - R key (default). Use Potion Slot 1-5 - Numbers 1-5 (default). Hey all. Some more requested features are getting added today, but I also wanted to highlight some achievements from players since the Omens update. I decided to secretly reward the first 3 players who shared victories on the Discord featuring Corruption 20 with all 4 Omens active. These players were Doemondo, Zwitterion, and Example. To go a step further, Naduos achieved the same but without taking "The World" starting blessing - something I wasn't even sure was possible! These 4 player's names will be included as key items in the now confirmed 1.6.0 update. This final content update will add an alternate final boss unlocked by collecting keys during the run. General Changes The settings window has been redesigned to allow more room for future additions. A new option is available in the settings to disable upscaled graphics. This will increase the performance of the game substantially when not at the 1920x1080 resolution. In testing I was able to play the game on a 10 year old laptop at 60 fps after disabling upscaled graphics and using regular fullscreen mode. Bug Fixes Fixed a circumstance where Water of Life could try to revive a hero with Phantom Band. Fixed the first Altar of Fire option from bugging and causing a crash if you reload the game. - Omens - New Difficulties, Features, Events (v.1.5.0) - 13 May 2021
Hey all! New this update are Omen difficulties. These are optional modifiers you can toggle on or off, and can be used with or without Corruption activated. They are essentially super Corruptions, with each of them being far more impactful than any single Corruption effect. There are 4 in total, which are unlocked as you progress Corruption levels. They provide an experience bonus when activated, and each have a new achievement associated with beating them in a certain way. This major update also brings a rework to Corruption 20, new map events, and balance changes. There are still lots of requested features I want to add before shifting development to the sequel, and I will also be looking at the possibility of translations soon. Hey all. This patch is focussed on refining the performance of the game. There were many changes made behind the scenes to dramatically reduce the amount of resources the game uses. An option has been added to reduce FPS from 60 to 30 (for very low end computers). Hey all! About a month ago I mentioned that with the success of the game I was going to commission a composer to make us a custom soundtrack. This was only possible thanks to all of you who bought the game and shared news of it with friends. Also a big thanks to the content creators, who can now be assured they won't randomly trigger a claim on Youtube due to shared music rights. I think you'll all agree RareDigsMusic has done an amazing job, and captured the atmosphere of the game perfectly. A performance overhaul is planned for the next patch, which will reduce the resources needed to run the game by up to 4x. Hey all. Just a little FYI - I'll be away with family from now until the end of March. I'll still try my best to check the discussion board and Discord during this time. I have some very cool updates in the pipeline. The very next update should add the brand new custom composed soundtrack.
