- Pizza Master VR Halloween Update - 2 November 2021
Happy Halloween! We'd like to celebrate the release of our latest update, which involves a series of fixes and refinements: We've ported the entire input system to the new Unity Input System, so now controllers should be fully supported with no bug. That means no more sprint bugs! Lower mouse sensitivity as the waiter. No more dizzying gameplay. Brand new menu screen to suit the game more Lots of UI refinements, i.e font's and coloring Plenty of optimizations! On our system, GPU headroom increased from 20% before to 80% We're also excited to announce further progress on the Zombie mode. While it is not finished yet, many of the visuals and animations have been created, and you will be able to check it out if you please(but the gameplay is very broken at the moment.) More news and videos of the gameplay will be posted next week. We have also ported the entire game to a different VR SDK,…
- A sneak peak of the Zombie Mode - 9 October 2021
Hey Pizza Masters! We're excited to announce the changes leading to the next Steam Update. Small changes: Rewriting various shaders for the Universal Render Pipeline, such as the outline shader, and particle effects Restoring some post processing effects Remaking the outside environment of the levels to be better optimized Rewriting the various manager scripts Zombie Mode: The biggest and most exciting thing we've been working on is the Zombie Mode. It's October, nearing the spooky date, and there has similarly been a spooky twist in the Pizza Master world. In this new game mode, the customers have gone rabid throughout the lockdown as they are desperate for pizza. They've started exhibiting zombie-like behavior and appearance, and if you don't offer them your pizza in time, they will not differ between eating pizza or chef. The Pizza Master is making his last stand at a abandoned metro…
- Pizza Master VR in 2021 - 22 September 2021
Hey Pizza Masters! It's been a while since our last announcement or update on the game, and we are really sorry about that. We had a huge issue with burnout as a team and weren't able to continue updating the game. With lockdown happening and only having access to one VR headset to work with, as well as personal circumstances, it made it difficult to work. However, the long awaited and long due time has come, and we wanted to let you know that the Pizza Master VR dev team is back and more motivated than ever to deliver the game to full release. So what have we been working on? Performance. We know the game never performed the best, so we have been profiling and using analytics to figure out the bottlenecks, and have been working heavily on this. Port to the Universal Render Pipeline. While we had to redo most of the materials and shaders, there is now a huge increase in performance, and…
- Major Update Now Out - Shop, Themes, Customer Packs, Gameplay, Fixes - 12 July 2020
Hey Pizza Chefs, First of all we just want to say we're sorry about the lack of activity we've had these past few months. While we had clear plans of updating the game, as you saw in the last announcement, these plans were quickly cut down by the pandemic. Due to a country lockdown, restrictions, personal events, and having no access to a VR headset or our workplace, it really destroyed our motivation to work in those months. However, we were lucky enough to live in a country where the virus was properly managed, and two weeks ago the lockdown was lifted. As soon as it ended, we worked hard to follow through with the update we talked about months ago, and now, two weeks later we are ready to release it! Here's a summary of things that have been added: A shop system, where you can earn coins to buy items Three new themes you can buy, Invasion, Winter and Spring. Once bought, each theme i…
- What's coming: Shop, Themes, Customer Packs, Remote Play Fix and more - 3 April 2020
Hey everyone! We've been silent for about 2 weeks, and its not just because we've been playing Half Life Alyx like everyone else. Instead we've been working a medium update regarding making the overall gameplay loop more satisfying, and this involves the introduction of a shop. The items that can be bought will be purely cosmetic at the moment, but basically by going through levels you will earn in game coins, and you can use these coins to spend on themes such as Winter and Spring etc. The whole environment will change in correspondence to add a bit of fun and variation, so soon you might be finding yourself working in the snow. If you guys have cool ideas for themes, we're more than happy to listen. You will also be able to spend your coins on customer packs, so soon you'll not only have humans coming in as customers, but also elves, aliens, animals and who knows what. We've also adde…
- Controller Update - 18 March 2020
Hey guys! A lot of the players requested controller support for the co-op mode, so we worked on adding XBOX controller compatibility. It is confirmed to be working now, which is great. We want to make the game compatible with the Steam Controller too, but we don't have one, so if someone could help us test if it works that would be great. Anyhow, for those who prefer to use a controller over mouse and keyboard, we think you will enjoy the new update, because we certainly do. While this is a small update, much bigger ones are in the works, keep an eye out! Thanks for reading, Plectrum Software
- First week update: bug fixes and feedback implementation - 12 March 2020
Hey Pizza Chefs! It's the first week of release, and I can't express how awesome it is to see people playing the game, and most of all, how much feedback we have received. We are passionate about developing the game into something you want, and we really do care about what you think, so we collated the first week's worth of feedback and made a small update addressing a few of the issues/bugs reported. Ice cubes can now be placed into the cup without there being any liquid first. Before we made it so that you could only put in ice cubes after you filled the cup with a drink, but a lot of players did the complete opposite. As a result we decided to implement what the players found intuitive. Arrow keys can now be used for movement by the waiter in co-op mode. Before, only WASD was available, and some of the feedback explained that it was harder for children to understand. The height can n…
