  • Update 1.3 Out Later This Week - 12 July 2020

I'm in the process of testing Update 1.3 now and with any luck it will be out in a few days. Here are some highlights: Each character can unlock 20 new Fates, for a total of 120 new Fates across all 8 characters. Characters can also no permanently increase their Stat Points. Update 1.3 also completely revamps the game's difficulty level. With regards to the new difficulty, one piece of feedback I've received is that the game starts off too easy and takes several levels to get interesting. Update 1.3 hopes to address this by making earlier levels feel better to play. Enemy density has been increased across the board, and enemy damage for broadcasted attacks such as Sniper fire or Rockets has been increased. Previously enemy Damage started out too low and every character felt much too tanky, making death in level 1 basically impossible. In addition, too few enemies were spawning, resultin…

  • A Preview of Update 1.3 - 19 June 2020

Update 1.3 will provide several new ways to progress your Bounty Hunters. The following is a quick preview of the new systems that will be introduced once the patch hits. Starting in Update 1.3, all Rating received at the end of a run will increase the Rank of the Bounty Hunter you are playing. New Bounty Hunter Specific Fates One reward for increasing Bounty Hunter Rank is unlocking specific Fates for that Hunter. Here are a few examples for the two default characters, Patriot and Sonja. The goal of new Fates is to provide a new layer of customization for players to explore and master. Hunter-specific Fates are designed to both improve a Hunter's core competencies while also having a few that may create an entirely new build out of. Moreover, new Fates provide depth that few Class-based Rogue-likes can match. It also makes every run feel different on not just a randomized level but als…

  • Update 1.1.0 - 18 April 2020

Update 1.1.0 is now live. General Most maps have been been redesigned. Most old maps have been cut in half for much quicker gameplay in the first half of the game. Many old maps have been redesigned with new locations. Maps for the first 3 stages have been normalized: each map now has 1 Transmitter and 1 Door to open. Greatly increased the number of available maps. For example, Stage 1 now has 6 map variations (up from 3). There are now 20 unique Large Chests found in each map variation (up from 11). As a result of more Large Chests available, the requirements to unlock 'V' has increased to 10 different Large Chests (was 7), and 15 different Large Chests for the Focusing Iris (was 10). You can now see in-game stats without pausing. They are on the left-hand side of the screen next to their respective icons. Stats that are above their expected value are blue and below their expected valu…

  • Update 1.1 Arriving Next Week - 11 April 2020

Update 1.1 will arrive sometime next week. It primarily addresses issues with current map design. Current maps will be cut in half. For example, the current map Twin Falls will be split into two maps: one called Upper Twin Falls and another called Lower Twin Falls. Map flow will now be standardized. All maps will have the same flow of Destroy the Transmitter to Open the Door Get to the Boss Teleporter and fight the Boss Previously, some maps became a bit too confusing with multiple Transmitters and multiple Doors. This will also result in much more map variety. For example, Stage 1's map choice will increase from 3 to 6. Each new map will also have a new unique Large Chest. As a result, Items and Bounty Hunters with a specific Large Chest Counter will have their requirements released. Some other changes will also be rolled into this update The resulting changes pushes the game flow more…
