Heya Monkeys! The summer nights are getting darker, and the fall is creeping in. I usually dread this period, post-summer depression is heavy in Sweden. But this year itโs different. We thoroughly enjoy the moment we are in. Having worked intensely during the summerโs hot (and rainy) days to prep for launch, we have now submitted the final release version of TOSS!๐ and can take a step back - and just look at it. Itโs there, itโs complete and we are counting the days until TOSS!๐ is released upon the cloudscape playgrounds. Taking aside all the stuff that takes place in the month prior to launching a game; planning, post launch content, refining the release trailer, etc., we can finally take a moment to reflect on what we have actually made. Hello fellow Apes! ๐ต Together with the summer heat comes a developer update! There's mostly just the one question on everyone's mind right now. Today, we'd like to do our best to address the elephant gorilla in the room. Why can't I play TOSS!๐ yet? (1) As some of you are aware, we are a 3-person company as well as an independent studio. As much as we love to devote ourselves to the development we also need to feed our mouths, pay for all the expenses of running a studio & take care of the overhead tasks outside of actual game production. We are a tiny - but passionate. (2) We are still growing as both developers & as a company. This will be Agera Games' first commercial release and a large part of the work we're doing right now has to do with establishing a solid foundation for more reliable, quicker and bigger productions. TOSS!๐ v0.1.5 The "slipping bug" should be fixed. Please get in touch with us if you still experience your grip letting go unintentionally at any point! As a side-effect of fixing the "slipping bug", climbing is now an overall much smoother experience. We did change some things up to make this happen though, so let us know if there's anything that feels "off" to you. We're also aware of other issues such as the Valve Index controllers not registering the grip button properly some stuttering going on when you grab. We might not be able to fix every issue during the festival, but we're taking note of them and will of course take care of them before the full release of TOSS!๐. ๐ต P.S.: The quickest way to get in touch with us is by joining our Discord community. We'll want to fix that in the future.) - Physics updates now target your device refresh rate. Please let us know if you're experiencing any physics problems or lag after this update! - Hopefully made it impossible for your hands to go through something when you're trying to grab while moving very quickly. However, there may be a slight disconnect between where your real hand and your virtual hands are.
