  • Update for Spring Sale - 11 March 2025

In honor of the upcoming Spring Sale, I decided to make an update. You won't get achievements for most of the side stuff if you're on easy mode. Going further, you won't be gifted the things for Secret Reader if you're on easy mode. After all, the secret giver wants a show, and you're not entertaining them if you're doing things the easy way. They want you to struggle. I want you to struggle. Slime Grotesquerie has a little less HP. Speaking of Secret Reader, if you're chasing that, the boss won't buff itself on low HP, because I acknowledge that it's too hard since you won't have the endgame skills you'd usually have. Can no longer softlock self on the first floor with Rock Slimes. You'll need to leave and come back to reset everyone's positions, but hey, you can leave now. Most importantly... added a new secret achievement, if you choose to defy canon. Thanks to AliceEris, whose strea…

  • Bleed Update - 30 September 2024

In honor of the Turn Based Fest, I've prepared a bit of an update! Bleed now works like how it does in I Hate You, Please Suffer, with enemies taking fixed-ish damage at the end of every turn. This means that bleed is now far more meaningful to inflict on normal enemies while not chewing through boss health. A result of this is that health has generally been rebalanced across the board. Guns are now rebalanced, too. Wielding a revolver makes Julius faster than everyone else, while he's slower than some enemies with the shotgun equipped. The biggest change though is that his Warning Shot's guaranteed to go last in the turn rotation - gotta risk it a bit before you can get that stun off, now. Some other noteworthy changes and fixes: Zeus81 fullscreen script added. Calm Aura buffed to raise accuracy. Use it to counter being Blind, or maybe you badly want to land a Bleed on an evasive jerk.…

  • I Hate You, Please Suffer - Basic; out April 27/28 - 21 April 2022

Shortly after Slimes was uploaded on Steam, I started working on a new game called I Hate You, Please Suffer, which is now going to be available on Steam with its Basic version! I Hate You, Please Suffer is essentially a game in a world of sidequests, with a freshly minted adventurer heading out into the world to pay rent. It's a more standard RPG experience than Slimes, though I've played around with some conventions to screw with people. I Hate You, Please Suffer is still in development. I originally considered making this an Early Access game, but I do not have the time or power to fully dedicate myself to development the same wat a standard Early Access developer would. So, I've split up the Steam releases into Basic and Complete. Basic is a free version of the game carrying about 3/5ths of what I envisioned for the game while Complete will be a commercial game. So hey, I hope you c…

  • Small Update - 21 August 2020

I think I finally figured out how to update this game without things exploding, please hit me up if something exploded. The changes in the update include: Increased hit rate for revolver and shotgun; you'll still need to lean on Take Aim to deal with high evasion enemies, though. Vastly increased hit rate for the endgame buff skills to make using them more worth it. Lowered health of the second boss enemies a bit to make it more manageable. Edited some text Added two new secret achievements Also I finally got to set a sale for this, so it's going to be 20% off for the upcoming weeklong sale. I mean, you probably already have it if you're reading this, but it'd be nice to let people you know about it.

  • Releasing on 6/12 + Price Change! - 3 June 2020

Okay folks, I've decided that the Steam version of Slimes will release on the 12th of this month. So, here are my reasons why: I figured that it'd be best to release this before the Steam Sale, because it'd absolutely get lost I also figured that releasing it after Steam Sale season is bad because a lot of people would have already spent money and/or wouldn't have the desire to pick up more games right away, so a Steam release would have to be way later on. Due to real life circumstances presenting money problems, I think it's better to have this out sooner rather than later. On top of this, the Steam version will have its price changed to $6.99. The reasons: My friends told me to love myself more and place more value on my work. This is also to account for Valve's own cut from sales. It has 69 in it. So yeah, there's that. Hopefully things will go fine? Well, until then I can try figur…
