• SUMMER UPDATE 5a - 29 June 2023

  Hi All, This is a quick post to let everyone know that Cherry VX has been updated. This update consists mainly of bugfixes, optimization of workflows and polishing. Focus was put on improving the interaction experience and rethinking production workflows to make it far easier to edit and update poses. Many other smaller issues were addressed too. As this update does not contain much new content or any new features so we're not considering it a 'major' update. Despite this, we've mainly been busy reworking the backend. The most noticeable changes for the player is probably improvements to the interaction system. The sensitivity has been bumped up and a major bug which would unexpectedly break model interaction is now gone. The player's 'D' has new animations and is larger.   CHERRY VX MAJOR UPDATE 5 Hi All, Thanks again to everyone who has and continues to support this game on Steam and Patreon. It's the reason why we can keep working on the game. This update has a couple of new features and a bunch of QOL stuff. There's a little bit of new content too. New models are still in the pipeline and the folks at Patreon are helping us guide our production direction in that regard. • Cherry VX Performance Update - 30 November 2021

  Performance Update for Cherry VX No leftover turkey for us! Hard crunch over the weekend. Following major update IV we had some reports of issues concerning performance on older hardware. Further investigation found that there was some serious 'over-rendering' of the models resulting in poor performance on older systems and stuttering when getting close to models on all systems. This update provides optimizations that have gone a long way in resolving these problems. Also, some reported very long load times. This issue has also been resolved resulting in start up load times being decreased by about 80%. Lastly, we fixed the issue of the player's 'D' flipping at unwanted times for Steam VR users, tweaked the pose animations to look better, prevented drifting errors (when rotating the platform or model) and squashed a bunch of other bugs. • Major Update IV - 24 November 2021

  Cherry VX - Major Update 4 is now live APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE... We have made some serious tweaks to the preset manager and as such current presets will no longer be compatible... for now. Your presets are still there we just don't have a means for you to access them right now. In future we will be including a preset converter so you can transfer your old presets. We ran out of time to include this in major update 4 but it will be a priority for the next one. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.   Major Update 1 is now live! Quick Rundown: - Windows Mixed Reality support - Vive Cosmos support - Non-VR desktop mode - New HTC Vive controller scheme 20% Discount Sale Starts 10AM PT! This update makes Cherry VX compatible with Windows Mixed Reality and Vive Cosmos headsets. Those who do not have access to VR hardware can play Cherry VX on their monitors with a keyboard and mouse by using the 'Non-VR Desktop Mode' launch option.   Hi All, Coming September 14th 2020 is an update which will enable owners of Windows Mixed Reality and Vive Cosmos headsets to enjoy the models of Cherry VX. Steam users who do not own a headset can also play Cherry VX using the non-VR launch option.
