  • Game Dynamics Update - 26 November 2022

Nightmare Zone is almost complete! We are working daily to add details and details and to fix problems that players have encountered during play sessions. This is the main reason why we brought our development team together to simplify some game procedures to help the player during the games. So we found it necessary to make the doors open without player input to make the game faster and more dynamic! Opening doors using the key often caused the player problems while escaping from enemies and even collisions with the door while opening, creating limitations to the gameplay experience that absolutely had to be solved. With this update, the gameplay experience changes significantly, but without depriving the player of the experience of fear and terror due to being chased by monsters. In addition to this, of course, there are other updates and changes, making Nightmare Zone an ever-evolvin…

  • The Glitch effect update - 14 May 2022

Nightmare Zone already had many details but we felt the need to add something that would enhance the distorted feeling experienced by the player. Therefore, we made an effort to include the glitch effect in the game in some particular scenes and moments. However, the glitch effect is not invasive and lasts for a short time; it is an element that creates a moment of bewilderment in the player but does not restrict his movements. Definitely an extra challenge when you are running away, but a notable addition to the atmosphere of the game! For us, colors, visuals, and details are key parts of successful gameplay, so the glitch effect was a key step to add; something that was not strictly necessary, but contributes greatly to the game experience by increasing fear and anxiety during gameplay. Added to this are other small changes: - Bug fixes - Improved sounds - Insertion of new objects - c…

Hi guys! We've been working hard over the last while to get Nightmare Zone out of early access! And here we are! We released the game on September 17, 2021, but we waited a bit before making an announcement to make sure there were no obvious bugs or errors from players. The Nightmare Zone levels now look more complete and visually full, but that doesn't mean we're done working on our product - updates aren't finished and new things will be coming often. In the last 3 months we have made numerous additions: - Added new landmarks in the maps - Added new thematic objects - Added new clue sheets - Added new easter eggs - Fixed some generic bugs - Levels loading times optimized - Fixed bug in the opening of doors - Fixed bug in the Hit-box of the monsters - Added new sounds - Added new victory scene - Added new HD textures By now we are ready: Nightmare Zone is ready for the general public a…

  • Early Access Update - 6 July 2021

Hi guys! We have been working hard over the last month to create and add new items to our game maps! Nightmare Zone levels now look more complete and visually full, but we still have a lot of things we would like to do and many new things we are working on. We have also taken advantage of the many feedbacks we received from players to fix some issues that were present in the game. - Fixed the bug that caused enemies to stop sounding when they were chasing you - Fixed the issue of mouse lock on the second screen - Fixed some lighting bugs - Added generic details to the maps - Added new models (swords, shields, hay blocks, wood stacks, glasses, plates, bottles, lamps, candles, paintings and much more) - Improved some visual post processing effects - Improved game optimization in some levels We still have a lot to do, but we are working hard to make the atmosphere of Nightmare Zone as dark…
