- Steam Deck Compatability - 1 May 2026
Recently, Steam has reviewed all games to see how well they function on the Steam Deck. If you are not aware, the Steam Deck is a hand-held device running a Windows compatable OS. It has a 7.4" diagonal screen and is intended for twitch style games. Steam has determined that The D100 Dungeon Computer Companion will function on the Steam Deck, but that there will be difficulty reading the text. While is appears to be a very nice device, we do not support the Steam Deck at all. The Computer Companion was designed to run on desktops and laptops. Further, we do not own a Steam Deck, so we have no means to test or debug any issues. We do not recommend running the Computer Companion on the Steam Deck and will not support the Steam Deck in any way. We strongly recommend that you run The Computer Companion on a desktop or laptop.

- Updated to V3.76 - 2 September 2025
Fixed: In the Monster Ate My Mum! quest, after finding the second objective area, one rolls 1d10+90 for an encounter. This was adding the quest's Encounter Modifier, which was not supposed to be added. When rolling for an encounter, the roll plus the encounter modfier plus any roll modifier is supposed to be limited to 100. Instead, it was being limited to to the roll limit (10 in the case of 1d10).
- Updated to V3.75 - 27 July 2025
Fixed: The Giant Snake had a reward of 10 instead of 100 GP.There were two map Legacy Tiles (rolls 30 and 91) that were not being displayed correctly.
- Updated to V3.74 - 26 April 2025
Changed: All page number references within The Adventure's Companion have been removed to account for the various versions of this book. Fixed: When failing the Crossfire Trap test, HP was being incremented instead of decremented. There was a crash when attempting to choose a map area when using Transportation. When the fourth green area is found when playing The Northreach Campaign - "The Burial Grounds of the Resting", The Mystic Pool was not being added to the area. This was causing the geographic roll to take place, which was supposed to be overridden.
- Updated to V3.73 - 8 April 2025
Fixed: The V3.72 fix to the Investment Roll did not multiply the adjustment by the number of shares. This corrects that. As a result, holding only pips of an investment will not qualify as holding shares. This is now a correct implmentation of the rules.
- Updated to V3.72 - 7 April 2025
Fixed: The Investment Roll now follows the rules and only makes changes to investments where the adventurer owns some shares or pips.
- Updated to V3.71 - 31 March 2025
Fixed: When blasting a door with a weapon and a miss occurs, the damage to the weapon was being decreased instead of increased. During the Before Your Next Quest phase, both the Investment Roll and the Empire Building dialog were doing incorrect calculations. Within The Dragon Armour paragraph 77, choosing to accept the penalty will no longer loop. There was an error in the overriding encounter table for the Adventure's Companion Campaign Quest 20 - Urackhire, City of Goblins There were some errors in the overriding encounter table for the Adventure's Companion Campaign Quest 11 - The City of Longfire. Monster Wight incorrectly was using the phase ability. Witchery Venom Poison was permitting selecting armour instead of weapons.
- Updated to V3.70 - 18 June 2024

- Updated to V3.69 - 8 May 2024
Fixed: The need-secret-tunnel test was not properly handling areas that contained open exits (no door). The code to limit the adventurer's defense to 5 was yielding an incorrect result. The Dragon Armour area 5 persistent attribute to ignore darkness was missing. Corrected three Dragon Armour paragraphs that were transitioning to paragraph 70 without a prompt to read paragraph 70. When some Dragon Armour paragraphs were causing damage outside of combat, the damage was not being reduced by any armour worn at the location. Within Dragon Armour, if the entrance to another area is blocked by a door that is not successfully opened, the area will not be entered or drawn, but the door will be drawn. These "phantom" areas cannot be edited at this time.
- Updated to V3.68 - 16 March 2024
Changed: The prompt to create a secret tunnel now has a Continue button so that the the creation of a secret tunnel can be temporary bypassed. Doors that lead to walls in the adjacent areas can now be opened. The need-secret-tunnel test will no longer require that doors that lead to walls in the adjacent areas be opened in order to create a secret tunnel. Fixed: When in the dragon armour quest acquiring an Objective Item will now correctly yield one Vial of Holy Water. During Dragon Armour paragraphs 24 and 65 the number of poison pips has been increased from 1 to 2. Dragon Armour paragraph 51 was not prompting to read the paragraph before asking to descend or not. A crash in Dragon Armour if you are in area 12 and Area 6 has not been mapped and time needs to be incremented. The prompt for using the Vial of Holy Water was not occurring in all cases.
- Updated to V3.67 - 8 February 2024
Changed: At the beginning of turn, step 2 - Exits, there is a test to determine if the conditions require the building of a secret tunnel. This is to account for the special case when all exits have been blocked. Prior to this build, this test was known as the can-continue-quest test and would determine if it was possible to continue the quest by testing exits, doors, geographic, area search state, etc. If not, then the user would be prompted to add a secret tunnel. This was a mis-interpretation of the rules. The test is now known as the need-secret-tunnel test. If any of the following conditions are true, then there will be no prompt to add a secret tunnel: 1) Any reachable exit is unblocked and a new area could be added at that exit. 2) There is a reachable stairway that has not been descended. 3) There is a reachable un-opened door. 4) There is a reachable geographic feature (e.g. Bo…
- Updated to V3.66 - 4 January 2024
Changed: The "Question aborted" message will now be on the same line as the question instead of a new line. Fixed: When using Game/Quit, the game game state was not being persisted correctly. This caused the turn number to be incremented unnecessarily. Note that if there is a game saved in this state and you would like the turn number to be correct, please send it to [email protected].
