- Gigabit Legacy Games - 2 January 2024
RXC has been on a temporary development pause while we attend to our legacy games. We have a back catalog of games that goes back more than 10 years (Ultra4, Rally Runner, Gigabit Offroad, etc). While it's pretty awesome that games can live that long on platforms, it means we have to go back to them every so often as platform requirements get updated. If we don't keep them in line with store policies, the app stores will remove them and they still have a decent sized player base. Not only that, but some of the games have started breaking due to operating system changes and need attention. So, that's what we've been doing for the last few months. It's been a challenge to update, in some cases, decade old code to keep the games functioning. I'd estimate another month of work before we can put our focus back on RXC and boy are we itching to do that. I'm sure you can imagine how much more g…
- RXC - work in progress - 28 August 2023
Dang! It’s already been over three months since our last post. Here is our progress on RXC. I’ve finished up the models and skins of a few more vehicle variants. I’m excited to get these in the game and getting a base tune set for them. I’m getting closer to my personal stretch goal of total number of vehicles. We have been working on challenges for awhile now and they are pretty close to being wrapped up. Rally, Auto Cross, and Speed gun. 10 of each type in each level for a total of 240 unique challenges on the current levels. These are a ton of fun to play with even more of a challenge than I thought they could be. They make you master the driving mechanics of pitching a car around corners and now you must learn how to use the E-brake properly to extend your trajectory. Next step for me will be visiting the new levels again to add all the required models and finishing touches. The cur…
- May 2023 Development Update - 17 May 2023
Content: Hello there! I wanted to take a moment to share the progress we've made on RXC. I've been diligently working on finishing up a few vehicles that I started a while back. We've got the Jinx, Hero, and Wolf, each with their own tiers of progression. These vehicles bring different driving characteristics and handling styles to the lineup. It takes some time to make them game-ready, but we're committed to delivering the best possible experience. My approach is to blend features I love from real vehicles into these cars. It's like creating a mashup of the best elements out there. Now, adding unique liveries to each car does take some extra time, but we believe it's an important aspect. We've got a list of vehicles ahead, and I'm carefully selecting the ones that are essential to complete RXC for the 1.0 release. Speaking of 1.0, we have some ambitious goals. Our aim is to provide 16…

- Well, here we are again. - 13 June 2022
Yep, we're pushing the release date back. It's painful to do but, there are still things that we need more time to develop. The progress in the last couple months has been great and we think a lot of that shows in the updated demo we released in late May. Feedback on the demo has been very positive and we're happy that people are enjoying it. Since we don't have a firm release date in sight yet, we decided to move the release date to the end of the year even though we are fairly confident it will release sooner than that. Thanks for sticking it out with us and for the feedback and kind words. As always, join our Discord server for more up to date info, to give feedback, or just to say hey!
- Where are we at? - 21 March 2022
Where are we at? For anyone that buys games in Early Access, you’ve probably had the disappointment of feeling like you’re playing a tech demo rather than a full game. We would rather release something that is a complete game that can be added to and improved during the Early Access period. Content-wise, we have everything we need to put together a legit release. We just need a bit more time to polish and test. We are loving the direction of the game and are excited to get it finished. Please bear with us as we push for a higher standard. We had to make adjustments to the career mode due to a lack of feeling of progression. This is adding time to development to make it feel right. On the plus side, this has caused the garage to expand. Instead of standalone cars, each car will now have multiple versions that go from street cars with roll cages to dirt-eating rally beasts. While the care…
- What makes RXC different from what is already out there? - 18 January 2022
Who is making RXC? Two brothers, Wes and Patrick, with a passion for motorsports and gaming. We have real experience in: autocross, off-road, rock crawling, desert, karting, remote control racing, and sim racing. We started making mobile racing games in 2012 with our notable releases being Rock Racing, Ultra4 Offroad Racing, Gigabit Off-Road, and Rally Runner. What are we hoping you get out of RXC? RXC is a combination of our favorite aspects of racing games put into a top down isometric perspective. A branching career mode keeps players motivated and looking forward to the next series, race, or championship. Flexible multiplayer options ensure racers can play their own way, whether they’re serious about racing or just out for some fun. Challenges hone and test players’ skill. A deep handling model conveys all the slidey fun of the rallycross motorsport while being rewarding to competit…
