Happy new year everyone. Hope all is going well. Here's an update, sweet and to the point. Added invert yaw and pitch axis in the esc menu. Changed 1st and 2nd floor houses to more solid structures (no 3rd floor yet.) Tab allows you to change the color of the clothes of the AI being spawned (using E.) Sun position can be set from the top right of the screen using the slider. Food farms are now wheat-looking fields. Trees are spawned at start. Some other stuff. I've had to limit the maximum number of AI to 200 due to performance reasons. Apparently, AI is very process and task intensive, who knew... Please enjoy.

Hey yo, just wanted to wish everyone happy happy holidays! Still hammering away at the game. I looked at your comments and suggestions and have taken them into consideration. Other than that, not much else to report on. Thank you all for your continued interest in the game, and wish you all a fantastic rest of the year. ttyl~

Greetings all. It's been a few weeks since the last blog update. I have been working on the game, no need to worry :) So what have I got so far? Well, I managed to get around 200 characters moving around collecting resource balls and then that's where the game began to lag a lot. I think the lag had to do with the hundreds of balls rolling around, plus 200 characters processing their AI brains. So, I am in the process of revamping the resource collection and AI thought processes. No more balls for now. Resource collection is going to be a simpler and more commonly used method of the character walking to a building and obtaining the resources, rather than chasing around a resource ball rolling down a hill. As you can see from the screenshot, a very big and ugly food building/farm is built by the character at a suitable location, and that is where the character will go to collect food. Th…

Hey everyone. This is where I'll be making regular updates on the progress of this game. It's been three days since launching the game in early access. Lots of people downloaded the demo, hope you all enjoyed it. I'll try and make these blog posts more regular in the future, but as of now it'll be whenever I get around to it. Since launch, I've been working on making the AI more independent. As of this writing, the dev branch (not public) is functional but not optimized. As you can see from the screenshot, several changes have been made. I've added food, water, and a slider to change the position of the sun. There's also some cloud along the horizon, and at night you can see stars. This version will not be made live to the public until I can figure out the optimization. I'm still learning how to use the Unreal Engine suite. There are quite a lot of tools and systems that I haven't used…
