- In Memoriam of Mohammad Fahmi - 4 April 2022
It is with our deepest sadness that we inform you of the death of our beloved friend, Mohammad Fahmi, on March 28th, 2022 from an asthma attack. Fahmi is the director and writer of What Comes After. Fahmi was a wonderful friend of ours. He inspired us and many people through his games, his meaningful stories, and his personal touch. Fahmi was a lovely person, who will be deeply missed. Hi everyone, First of all, thank you so much for playing What Comes After, your support means so much to us. A few days ago, I was notified by our friend who helped localizing the game to Chinese (thanks 依然爱国足!) that the Chinese version has a bug that made you stuck during the scene with the old tree. I just want to notify you that we have found and fixed the problem. Simply update your game to the latest version, and you should be able to play the game without much trouble now. What Comes After is a game themed around death, with themes of suicide. Bertie: I never realised how wise babies can be. When the baby on the train told me it's not that babies don't understand adults, it's the other way around, I felt as though I'd been hit in the face with a profound baby toy. I'd never really thought about it like that before. I always assumed they were the ones who needed teaching - but do they? They seem pretty happy and content with their lot. It's only in the many ways adults complicate things that life becomes more, well, complicated. This is What Comes After; this is the way the game makes you think. Hello everyone, Hope everybody is doing well. I would like to update you all on a few things: We just updated the game to fix some grammatical errors in the game dialogue. We apologized for the mistakes, hopefully this update could improve your experience in playing the game in English. (Thanks to our players, Monifa and Sophie, for the help with the proofreading!) Right now, What Comes After is only available in English and German. As a narrative and dialogue heavy game, this is not an ideal thing to have. Thanks to our players (yet again!), we're going to add new languages for future updates. The languages we're currently working on are Indonesian, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish, Turkish, and others. We just launched the game three days ago and you all have been very positive about it, even when some of you stumbled upon some problems that make the game literally unplayable. For that, we are very sorry and very thankful for your support in helping us finding out the root of the cause. The good news is, we have found the solution to the problem and all you need to do is update the game and you should be able to play it just fine!
