Howdy folks! We're pushing one last major update to the DEMO with some new features before our full launch in August! Bug fixes! We fixed a number of bugs involving booting players Pre-Results screen! We've added a screen after final deliberation showing how the votes were cast and how the winner is decided. This will help make it more clear who wins and why Observer mode! Players that join the game after the maximum number of players (or in the middle of a game) will become "Observers". Their votes will be displayed during the deliberation stage, and can help sway the vote! However, their votes will not be counted towards the final score The deliberation screen has been updated to no longer show the clue list Added a setting for maximum number of players. Choose between 5 and 10. Any players that try to join after that will join as Observers

First off, we'd love to thank everyone who has play-tested Assimilate so far and given us feedback. We have been blown away by the support and are so grateful for all the comments, suggestions, etc. You all are honestly the very, very best! If you have played our game in the last few days, you might have noticed that one of our recent updates seemed to result in some connectivity issues for certain players. Though it does not happen every game, it was happening often enough that we felt the need to temporarily pause the Playtest until we get it resolved. In addition to improving the mobile connectivity issue, we are also looking to include the following highly-requested features/upgrades in our next update: AFK Protection (i.e. Allow the Game Host to boot idle players) Twitch Sign-In (to make it easier for those streaming to Optional "Hidden Game Code" mode (where streamers can access A…

Changes/Updates to TV Screens The biggest addition in this update includes the new game mode, "Quickplay" which allows users to play a single, 1-round game. Ideal for new groups to learn how to play the game or those who want to try out the game in a quick, simple format. Updated some font sizes and colors to make them more legible. Fixed some audio issues with the tutorial video Fixed some bugs with the "Esc" menu when accessed in the game lobby. Changes/Updates to Phone Screens One of the most common requests we got from play testers so far was the functionality for the game to prohibit/prevent users from entering the same clue more than once, so that's been added in. The Assimilate! (A Party Game) playtest is now live for playtesting. Only sign up for this play test if you're comfortable playing an early prototype as there is still a lot of tweaks, bugs, and gameplay changes left to make. We have taken the liberty of answering some FAQs below, for your reference. How do I sign up to play test? Go to our store page and click the "Request Access" button to join our playtest waitlist. We will be letting playtesters in waves during the next two weeks and you will be notified by Steam if/when you are eligible to download and play the game. However, please note that we cannot guarantee everyone who signs up will get to play! How long will this playtest be available?
