    The latest version of Monstermonger adds more to the late game, with a focus on bestiary completion and XP progression to give a clearer purpose and outcome for completing each level.     Players can now unlock abilities as they complete the campaign mode, giving a greater sense of progression through the game. A "Freeplay" mode is also available for those who want to just jump in and figure out the mechanics of each ability on their own.     Two major new game mechanics have been added to Monstermonger - contracts from wealthy dungeon owners to capture specific monsters, and swapping starting skills for extra gold. Both of these add new tactical options in the game, forcing players to think more carefully about how they balance their short and long term priorities. Also included are a ton of minor tweaks and improvements, generally adding extra layers of polish as the game rapidly approaches the end of Early Access and its final release.     We are delighted to announce the first major update to Monstermonger. "Rare" monsters have been sighted in the Realms of Dragoris! Rare monsters can be sold to dungeon keepers for more gold than usual, and introduce more complex tactical decision making in the mid-game phase of play. We've also added a new tactical menu giving an overview of what sorts of monsters might be lurking in the shadows and allows you to better plan your long term strategy for capturing them right from the start of the game.     Many thanks for all the fantastic feedback to the initial release of Monstermonger. We're pleased to announce that the first update is now live bringing numerous improvements to the game. Fixed a display issue when the options menu was selected when examining a monster. Fixed a display issue where sometimes the wrong amount of gold was shown. Fixed an issue where the game could freeze when entering the Steam overlay. Updated the UI in local multiplayer to display the guest's "ticks" when it's their turn.
