  We're almost done! Over the last 3 months we have added a lot of new elements to the game. We significantly expanded the production chains and corrected a lot of bugs. • DEVLOG 06 - 8 March 2023

  We've made a lot of changes to the world of Chinese Empire over the last few years. We have implemented over a dozen new buildings with animations and mechanics of raw materials that they produce, process or consume. From now on, people move only on roads designed by the player. We can also draw from natural resources, cut down trees, mine stone or sulphur, fish, etc. We also have created many dependencies between the buildings thanks to which the cities we create are teeming with life from the very beginning, and each person performs an important activity for the city.

• DEVLOG 05 - 24 October 2022

  Based on the feedback received from you, over the last few months we have significantly rebuilt our project - especially mechanically. Now the greatest emphasis has been put on the management of resources and people, which focuses the player more on designing cities in terms of logistics. We are currently dealing with mechanics related to the first 20 buildings and their visual design. Now all residents live in houses (1). Residents work in different places, for example on a farm (2). All extracted resources are brought to the warehouse (3), then when needed, they are taken from there to buildings that can process them (4).

• DEVLOG 03 - 8 March 2022

  One of the first mechanics we created was building buildings. These required the right amount of raw materials to be created, and some of them generated benefits appropriate to their nature. Another extremely important element of the game is the mechanics of the elements and thematic years, about which we will tell a little more later.   The whole world of Chinese Empire has been locked in Unreal Engine 4. At the beginning, we created a fragment of flora and the first models of buildings. These have been divided into two groups: standard and special. The first ones are characterized by light construction and simplicity, while the special buildings have many characteristic decorations, levels and stand on solid foundations.

• DEVLOG 01 - 14 February 2022

  Welcome to the world of Chinese Empire! As usual, everything started with an idea. The main assumption was to create a strategy game that reflects the atmosphere of the iconic RTS games in a modern version. This time, the entire game is also influenced by event cards assigning various modifiers, 5 different elements and the forces of enemies across the continent to the next years of reign, with which we will have to fight and form alliances. In the first phase of production, we focused on writing out the GDD of the entire project and creating concept graphics. Each of the buildings has many technological levels that are reflected in the visual layer.
