- Beta #1 Test Phase - 10 June 2026
Hello dear community!Things are getting serious on the road to release. The first of two planned beta testing phases has begun. This update now contains all the essential features. Accordingly, this update really packs a punch, even though the last one was only four months ago. Now I can finally make full use of all the systems I’ve built, and you can see that right away in the huge list of new features. This is therefore not a regular update; instead, you can switch to the beta version yourself to see and test the new features in advance!Over the coming months I’ll be working on finishing the story and some smaller items on my list. The Beta #2 testing phase will already include the full game and allow me to put everything through its paces and make final improvements.Have fun exploring! WARNING: Spoilers ahead!ArchitectureWith the new architecture system, you can now build various house…
- Runika gets cheaper - 26 March 2026
Hello community!Everything is getting more expensive, and life is getting tougher for everyone, but I believe that games should be affordable as a form of recreation. I’ve also received feedback from some of you that the price for Runika is a bit high. When I set the price for the game, the general expectation was that games would become more expensive. However, prices have actually been going down, and based on your feedback, I’ve decided to lower the price. To make sure no one felt disappointed about having bought the game at a higher price the day before, Runika was on sale at a significantly reduced price. So everyone actually got it for a little less than the new price.Keep enjoying your time in Runika!
- New Story Intro - 28 February 2026
Hello community! It was about time for a proper intro for the game's story and now it's here! Along with the intro, this update also brings lots of visual improvements and a bit more game feel.Replacing the old intro was important to me, especially since this will likely be the last update before the full release.Have fun exploring! WARNING: Spoilers ahead!Story IntroThe new story intro finally introduces you to the game's story. Until now, a lot of the lore in the intro only existed in vague dialogue or in my notes. To wrap it all up nicely, the intro takes place in a separate map built specifically for it: your character’s home world!Charakter PortraitsMost characters now have their own portrait during dialogues.Quest MarkersYou can now tell when a character wants to talk to you by a speech bubble with an exclamation mark. These help you progress through the main story.New Trading Menu…
- Runika - 24 January 2026
Hello community!Don’t worry, Little Legends is still Little Legends, but it’s getting an additional name! Why Runika?I often noticed that "A World of Little Legends" is hard to remember for many people. The name originally came from the style of the characters, whose heads are almost as large as the rest of their bodies. However, a name that needs to be explained isn’t a very memorable one.During of the project, I realized that the game needed a story. With that came a name for the world in which you spend most of your time: RunikaThe two parts are now coming together. The more descriptive name from the early days of the project becomes the subtitle, while the world itself becomes the main name.
- Release Roadmap - 20 January 2026
Hello community! Thanks to your support, Little Legends evolveed and has taken a very different path than originally planned. Now the time has come to take the steps toward the full release!A "little" later than initially expected, but I think it was worth it. With your feedback, the original open-world sandbox concept was expanded with a storyline and a village full of people.Making these two “worlds” compatible with each other required a lot of additional technical work, but I think the result speaks for itself. Little Legends now combines a sandbox world with a playable story.Because of this change in direction, the codebase has become far more complex than originally planned. As a result, I unfortunately have to let go of a few things from the initial Early Access roadmap. The biggest one being the multiplayer mode, even though it would have fit the game very well. But that is exactly…
- Xmas, Dungeon & Deutsch - 10 December 2025
Hello community! It took six months, but I finally managed to get the Dungeon Update ready just in time for Christmas! This update continues the story, brings lots of new items to discover, and Sao has some new festive Christmas outfits for you.The update has been tested over the past three weeks, allowing me to fixa bunch of bugs. As always, new features go deep under the hood, so if you run into any issues, please reach out to me on Discord. I can usually release a fix quickly. You’ll need to start a new map for this update because some changes have been made to generated locations.Have fun exploring and happy holidays! WARNING: Spoilers ahead!Old MinesThe first dungeon, the Old Mines, is finally finished! To enter the mines, you’ll need to progress in the main story and craft Winnibald's Great Kindle-Balls.Getting through the mines will take more than just bombs, though. Some areas wil…
- Quicktravel & Blueprints - 1 August 2025
There are some new features, and I am constantly surprised by how many topics I am currently able to include in these updates. Due to the procedurally generated map, it is often not possible to integrate new objects into existing game saves. However, I always try to make it as backward compatible as possible with your game saves.QuicktravelThe Danu statues around the world are now finally available as fast travel points. However, to activate them, you must offer them a Danu sphere. In your existing saves, you can craft these directly, but in newer saves, you must first obtain a crafting recipe or find another way to obtain Danu spheres.Danu statues spawn in special places up to a distance of 1 km from the portal ruins. They can also spawn on existing maps, but only in areas you have not yet visited. BlueprintsWhen you start a new game, many recipes are no longer directly in your recipe…

Fun with bombs! You'll have to collect a few different items, but then nothing stands in the way of bombing fun! :> New objects You can now craft "Kindlegrit" in the Cauldron. You can now use kindlegrit to make bombs at the stone anvil. Pick up bombs with the interact button and throw them with the attack button. You can now craft repair kits. You can now repair non-magically repairable items at the repair table. You can now make threads at the tailor's table. These will replace ropes for many recipes. - Minecarts! - 23 April 2025
It's time to swing the pickaxe and collect iron, because minecarts are on the loose! This is one of several preparation updates for the first dungeon, so full speed ahead and don't get derailed! New objects You can now craft wooden and iron minecarts, each with different speeds. New features Tools now have freeze frames when used. - Bugfixes on Rails - 25 February 2025
Big updates always bring some bugs with them. I therefore want to say thank you to everyone who helps me with testing and enables me to find even the most unlikely special cases!
- Valentine's Days - 13 February 2025
Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! It's a bit close, but I managed to add a little Valentine's Day treat: Rain of Hearts! In addition to this nice little gimmick, this update brings a bunch of significant performance improvements and two new enemies. The technology behind the enemies in particular will allow for more individual enemies and animals in future. Specific modules such as a sleep module or improved awareness of the environment for social aggro are just two of them. Have fun and thank you for all the great support!
- Running! - 14 December 2024
This small update contains a few fixes, but also finally the ability to run! The implementation for this is not yet completely finished, as a performance update for map generation is still needed so that you can move faster without experiencing loading effects or stutters. New features You can now run with Shift or X . Your character will move 25% faster and consume stamina. Wealdheim houses are now locked at night. Adjustments Tari moves slightly further away from the player character so that she is less likely to get in the way and accidentally start a conversation. Technology Colliders for unfinished chunks have been optimized. The game now runs at 20 FPS when the window is inactive. Bugfixes With an active bookmark, page turn sounds were played when dropping items. The migration of Marie, on the Wealdheim market, caused the NPC to be displayed twice for a short time. The Christmas t…
- Big Christmas-Update - 7 December 2024
Dear Little Legends Community, The year is coming to an end and I have a big pre-Christmas present for you! With this update, the first three bosses in the game world have finally been completed. This is also accompanied by a considerable progress in the story. As always, many other things are also included in this update. Hence, you can now buy Christmas trees from Sao or fill bottles with milk for baking. Tari, the Spectaria, now also has one or two little surprises in store, so I hope you enjoy exploring this update. Of course, as always, some things in the world cannot be respawned. I therefore recommend starting a new savegame. Thank you all very much for your support over the years! ❤️ New Objects You can now make standing torches at the carpenter's table. You will now receive Volgoda's Dark Scales (chest) and the Scale Helmet when you defeat Volgoda. Small slimes now have a chanc…
- Storm-Crystal Boss - 27 September 2024
A long year and a half have passed since Blargh found his way into Little Legends. With Aztetor, the second of the three Rift Guardians is finally entering the game. Of course, a lot has also happened in the background and, in addition to new items, there are also new Halloween and Christmas effects! I'm already working on the third Rift Guardian boss in the background. Unfortunately, you will have to start a new savegame to fight the new boss. Special places will not be re-spawned to prevent your builds from being destroyed. New mobs You will find the new boss “Storm Crystal Aztetor” east of the Portal Ruins. New objects Aztetor drops the “Aztetor's Crystal Void” loot box to you. If you defeat Aztetor, you will find a Storm Crystal Spear in his loot box. It has a 28% chance of triggering a lightning strike. Blargh and Aztetor now leave energy cores in their loot boxes. New features The…
- Feel-good Update - 17 August 2024
The Wealdheim update has made it possible to leave the Runika map by entering buildings for the first time. Some objects were not yet designed for this and therefore always started growing from zero. This also happened if you moved too far away from your farm, for example. This update finally brings almost all remaining growth objects to the new system. As always, I have included many more things in this update package. Have fun exploring! New objects Rumor has it that Jabbar now has an oversized red witch hat on offer. You can now craft a stone stool at the crafting table. You can now create new storage crates at the various crafting tables, which also have different storage capacities. There are new mushrooms called Bloodcap. These are displayed with the previous mushroom image. Regular mushrooms now have a new image. Bloodcaps can be planted via the new mycelium called Bloodroot. Blo…
- Settings & Fixes - 24 June 2024
To generate the world of Runika, a complex map generator is required that can combine random generation with pre-built areas. Mistakes creep in from time to time. A single wrong bit could cause parts of Wealdheim to disappear. Always a moment of heart attack for me, but here is the fix! New objects You can make a sleeping bag at the tailor's table. This can simply be picked up from the floor, making it ideal for traveling. The new beacon flag shows an arrow so that you can mark locations. Graphics For International Pride Day, on June 28, even more heart flags are now mingling in the rain at Blargh! 🌈🌧️ Customizations There is a new category "Base Building" in the recipe book, which makes it easier to understand where to find something. Normal torches can now also be crafted on the regular crafting table. Directional arrows now become larger when approaching the target. A fallback fram…
- Furniture & Fixes - 10 June 2024
The big Wealdheim update is receiving a small update with a few fixes. In the near future I plan to finally introduce markers (beacons) and Wealdheim should become a little more lively. A bug in Unity version 2022 also led to a massive performance leak in the area of audio sources, which is now fixed by an update of the Unity version. New objects You can now craft the cupboard and bookshelves at the carpenter's table. You can now make a decorative mop and pail at the carpenter's table. You can now make the stone fireplace at the crafting table. Graphics The magic ground in the Rift is now highlighted by an effect. Customizations You can now place items on the night table. The hammer minigame now plays a sound on perfect hits. The amount of ingots required for the cauldron is now better adjusted. Bugfixes The leaf effects of the trees work again. Due to a Unity FMOD bug up to 50% of the…
- Wealdheim - 25 May 2024
After more than 5 months, I present to you the Wealdheim update! This is the first playable town in the world of Little Legends. Over the past few months, I have created a lot of core technology to be able to add more locations, quests and dungeons to the game. Wealdheim also shows how important the community feedback is during the Early Access phase, because originally hardly any stroy content was planned and now more and more lore is being developed, which is gradually finds its way into the world. Welcome to Wealdheim! Once upon a time, the “Ancients” traveled to other worlds by creating magical bridges through the Rift. Shortly before Azgorath corrupted the portals, separating the worlds again, the world of Runika was discovered - this is where we are playing in Little Legends so far. The descendants of the Ancients, the Ulan'mor, have been living on Runika ever since, together with…
- Easter-Update - 27 March 2024
Happy Easter! Over the next few days, all egg nests in the game will be filled with colorful eggs. I'm also very happy to have finally found the bug that prevented the Blargh battlefield from being generated. Have fun with this big update and the new items and graphics! Features and customizations The music in the game is now biome-based. Individual music is also played at some locations. During the "Easter Event" egg nests come in various colors. The "Load Game" screen has a new user interface that shows more saved games than before. You can now craft clay pots in the baking oven. You can use a pot to make a potted plant at the potting bench. You now need fewer mushrooms and carrots to make soups. The saturation value of soups has also been adjusted. You will now receive more grass patches when crafting them. Your interaction range has been increased to 2 fields. The performance when e…
- Bugfix Patch - 7 March 2024
I'm currently remodeling the core of the game so that the village of "Wealdheim" can soon find its way into the game. Unfortunately, sometimes things break in the process. (ノ*・ω・)ノ Bug fixes The ghosts in the Rift were no longer responsive. Blargh the Great Devourer was endlessly generating monsters. Old crates and barrels were no longer destructible. The Rift grass had no spawn variation. Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/artimus83 Discord https://discord.gg/AWPcAfC Website https://pad-soft.de/
