Well, it's finally possible due to an added feature in Windows WASAPI.   Hi all!Sorry this has taken so long, but finally wide screen and ultra wide screen support is here!Here is the game running in 32:9 ultra wide:I think I prefer 21:9 as there a lot going on outside your view in 32:9 (Or I'm standing too close to my monitor!)This update took over a week to do and was way more involved than I initially thought. There might still be some visual oddities, if you spot on I'd appreciate a screen shot posted in the forums. Have fun!Cheers,Steve.

  Hi all,On September 24th I'll be updating all versions of Beat Hazard to include some great new tracks.First we have 5 amazing chip-tune tracks from ShirobonI've also been working with Future Funk Squad who have worked with Nine Inch Nails, Sia and U2. They have made an exclusive track for Beat Hazard, and I'm really excited for everyone to play it. I'm so privileged to be able to work with a top flight artist!On Sept 24th, Beat Hazard returns to PlayStation. Details here I'm gaging interest on a Steam release of Beat Hazard Arcade. It would have full VR support, and be a streamlined Arcade Beat Hazard experience. It would have some new weapons and enemies, and focus on community leaderboards. • Happy 15th Birthday Beat Hazard - 12 April 2025

  Hi all, This week marks the 15th Birthday of Beat Hazard being released on Steam. To all players new and old, thank you so much for all the support during that time. It's been amazing. The game is on sale right now, so be sure to spread the word! On to the update: - Fixed lighting issues - Added a debris level option, choose from low, med & high. (I love a ton of debris flying off damaged ships, so I have mine on high, but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea.) - Fixed issue with snakes not dying when on tail section is left. These changes have been brought over from the PlayStation port I'm working on. It's called Beat Hazard Arcade and is a streamlined version of the game. It should be out in a few months. • Debris and Lighting update. - 9 April 2025

  Hi all, I've brought over some fixes and tweaks from the PlayStation port. - Fixed lighting bugs, explosions now light the local area - Added a debris detail option. You can choose between low, medium and high - Fixed issue with not being able to destroy the snake's tail These changes are on the 'testing' branch if you want to give them a try. Steam Library->BH3->Properties->Betas->Select 'Testing' Let me know what you think!
