Hi All, we've been listening to the community and their issue with multiplayer connectivity. As a result, we've added LAN capability to the game. So now when you run a server, you should easily be able to connect to your own server. This change doesn't require you to do anything, it's all under the hood. So it should just work. Thanks for everyone's helpful comments.

- Dragonhold: The Ashen Dawn! - 26 December 2025
Did we just drop a major content update during a massive steam sale? OF COURSE WE DID! MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS :D Over the last few weeks, we've been working hard to make Dragonhold an experience the community can enjoy, and we've been listening intently to your thoughts. As such, we've removed microtransactions from Dragonhold. Even though it was only cosmetics, the community felt they didn't make sense while the game was in Early Access, and we agree. Additionally, we've updated the steam page to reflect the current state and play mechanics of Dragonhold, and posted a roadmap to show where it's headed. Our hope is that with support from the community, we can continue to develop and polish Dragonhold until it shines as bright as our vision for it!Check out all of the new content and fixes below for this huge holiday patch entitled "The Ashen Dawn". This will help identify things in your inventory. We may expand this to add more information in the future. Some aerial balancing The Finnik Sharponose flyers would tear into you as you fly across Aval, so we've reduced their rate of fire and hit-points, making them a bit more manageable. - Game Launched Nov 10th - 27 October 2025
We're finally here guys! Come November 10th (2 weeks from now) we're launching into Early Access. We wanted to do a post outlining our roadmap. Mainly that the game is feature complete and that we plan to be out of early Access within 6 months. Why Early Access? “Dragonhold is feature complete, we've done optimization passes as well as balancing passes, but the most critical part of the equation needs more input: player feedback. When we released our demo, the player feedback and suggestions transformed the game over a 3 week period. We are counting on the community’s involvement to help make Dragonhold the best game it can be; and to that end We're committed to listening to you!” Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “Our goal is to release 1.0 within 6 months; but it depends on the community feedback. Our goal is to provide you with the best experience, all the time…
- Dev log / Update - 8/25 - 28 August 2025
We've made a lot of significant changes lately, things that dramatically alter the gameplay for Dragonhold in a positive way. The changes are far reaching and fundamentally change the experience. Instance Items: Previously, when you went on a quest/mission, anything you got during the quest was reset when you escape/ended the mission. They would automatically convert to gold or XP , or a combination of both. The new functionality changes this entirely, and now anything you find during a quest will extract with you. And to bolster this, we've added a ton of new items and equipment. Which leads to the next huge update: Forging/Crafting: You can use the fragments you've collected in the mission to forge new weapons, armor, magical mods, equipment, and tools that go into your permanent inventory. There are easily over 100 forge-able items, each with their own stats and functions.Dragon Land…
- Dev log / Update - 6/25 - 19 June 2025
During Nextfest we released a demo and got a ton of great feedback. It allowed us to improve so many systems and fix a lot of bugs. So first, we want to thank everyone who tried the demo and gave us critical feedback, you helped improve the game dramatically! Since then, we've been hard at work finalizing certain aspects of the game, and working to expand and improve other parts. Missions/Quests: We currently have 9 mainline quests for the player to complete, and they can be played co-op or single player. It's up to you! Each time you complete one of these missions, you earn an anchor stone, which will rebuilt a portion of Dragonhold castle. And each part of the castle you rebuild gives you a new ability. Hub / Base Building: We're working on expanding the building portion of the game to give players move freedom. Currently we have the pre-made buildings that you can place; each one unl…
- Dragonhold Stream - 19 September 2024
Watch as we play some quests from Dragonhold.
- Dev log / Update - 6 August 2024
I can't believe it's been so long since the last official update. The simple fact is we've been heads down working our tails off to make Dragonhold as awesome as we can. We've made some improvements that really help spice the game up. The Director: We've build an AI director to manage the enemies, bosses, and spawns, to make sure players are always engaged and have something new coming up. This director is going to watch the players and determine how best to challenge them as they play. You may be facing a horde, or a mini boss when you least expect it... so... uh.... expect it! Hub / Base / castle Building: This isn't your typical micro-management style base building. Players each get a hub world/island, and you're tasked with rebuilding Dragonhold castle. Each time you complete a mission, you get an anchor stone to shift a portion of the castle back into our reality. Additionally, you…

Who are we? Exis is a small indie team made up of developers from various studios. In the past, we've done a lot of AAA projects, but now we're focusing on making our own indie title, Dragonhold. We've always loved fantasy games, and wanted to create something unique for players to experience. We’ve drawn on our experiences from working on games like Fear 3, Bioshock Infinite, Xcom, Civilization and upcoming games like Delta force, to really dig deep into what makes Dragonhold special. At the end of the day, we’re a small team who loves the game, so we’re going to do our best to give you all something awesome. What is the game? Dragonhold is about movement. It’s about the freedom of flying over a vast landscape and challenging powerful opponents. We have two main game moves, PVP Supremacy, and PvPvE extraction. In Supremacy, it’s your team against another set of Dragon riders; with a tw…
