The game Numeric Demon Cat will soon be delisted from Steam. Due to the complex regulations in Chinese law regarding “profit-making \” the game will cease to be sold.A free, text-only web version is currently in development. This version will not include the leaderboard feature.
- "Numeric Demon Cat" Leaves EA! Officially Release! - 26 August 2024
Three and a half years have passed, and after much deliberation, the game has finally left Early Access being officially released! True to the initial promises made at the start of EA, two new levels have been added. However, contrary to later promises, there is still no tutorial (and now there's even a fitting excuse for its absence). The equipment with complex attributes that some players had hoped for remains nonexistent. Moreover, the Unity remake version with more animation effects is still far off. The current version represents a major compromise between the developer (Snowy) and the realistic expectations for both herself and the game. This game is Snowy's first Steam game. - Remake using Unity Plan - 5 October 2023
Unity Personal will continue to be free, so we plan to remake the entire game using Unity. Currently, we're planning to start with Level 0. The Unity-remake version will have more animation effects than the current version, with the game logic and numerical values remaining unchanged. However, does Level 0 require a tutorial? The author is pondering...
- Levels reordered - 16 September 2023
Levels are now ordered by difficulty. 'Numeric Big Bang' now becomes Lv.0. The update is currently on the beta branch. It will update the default branch after enough tests.
- Sorry, no more Animation Effects - 15 September 2023
We previously planned to add some animation effects. However, the new price plan of Unity makes us decide not to use Unity. We have to continue to use the current engine and this engine is weak at animation. In the following days, we will update the Mac version. We are also considering adding some tutoring to teach players how to play this game, but this is not easy work. We will try our best.
- Change Default Font - 5 July 2023
The default font has been changed from "Microsoft YaHei" to "Arial". Currently, this update is made in beta branch, and will update to the main branch after testing is stable.
- Lv.3 is coming! - 5 June 2023
The Lv.3 is updated (Windows only, Mac will be later). Can you operate 1 to 100 million? Lv.3 is easier than Lv.1 and Lv.2. We will leave EA after we add some animation effects. To avoid the display bug previously announced, we have disabled Steam Overlay. Unlock achievements will not notify. We will fix the bug and reactive Steam Overlay later.
- New bug due to Steam update - 28 May 2023
The main branch of this game has not been updated for a long bug. However, a new bug was found recently due to the update of the Steam client. When Steam is loading after the game startup, some random color block will cover the screen (In fact, it's the Steam popup drawn in the incorrect position). We are working on fixing this bug. Currently, if you encounter this bug, just minimize the window, wait a while, and then maximize the window, the random block will disappear.
- Game Title Changed - 21 April 2023
'Destroy the Demon Army - Modified' has changed its game title to 'Numeric Demon Cat'. We are adding 2 levels after the first Demon level was released (Cat level and the coming soon Numeric level). We also hope the 'Numeric' in the title attracts mathematic lovers.
- Leave EA time adjustment - 7 December 2022
The feedback of current Lv.3 was bad, and Lv.3 is remaking. The time to leave EA is adjusted to the beginning of next year.
- EA Purchase Giveaway Plan - 19 October 2022
'Destroy the Demon Army - Modified' will leave Early Access on Dec 2022. If you purchase this game during Early Access, you will get another game. The giveaway game is on developing and will releasein 2023. If you purchase 'Destroy the Demon Army - Modified' after the end of Early Access, there will be no giveaway. We promise there will be 3 levels in the beginning. But when developing the 3rd level, I found I am too weak (in univeristy I only get 60/100 in Advanced Mathematics) to make it satisfied and also I am not satisfied with the first 2 levels . As a result, I only crafted a extremely simple 3rd level. It's too simple to fulfill the EA promise. So I plan the giveaway game as a compensation. Yes, the giveaway game is also relative to mathematics but it would be much more easier and casual (actually it's a black humor game).
- Mac version starts test - 19 February 2022
The game has recently been ported to the Mac platform, and there are still some bugs waiting to be fixed. Mac players are welcome to come and test. Known bugs: After opening the menu, the Esc key does not work. (workaround: switch windows)

- Beta test for new level is beginning! - 21 November 2021
The new level "My lucky cat" is now in beta testing! Switch to the beta branch to test it. Have most possible gold, try to get 1 million gold to unlock the 5-star achievement!

I found too many players cheating the leaderboard. Thus I update this anti-cheat system. Finish time will be verified before uploading and unlocking achievements. This system may contain bug. If you did not cheat but find your score not show on leaderboard or cannot unlock achievements, please post in the community.
