- v0.6.2 - The Weapons Update - 11 September 2026
Today's update adds many weapons, doubling the number of weapons in the game, including a new Unarmed weapon type (Unarmed weapons? Yes, keep reading). Also included are woodcutting and mining, global storage, crafting from nearby containers, experimental lighting, and a reasonable collection of improvements and bug fixes. Save files from version 0.6.2 are compatible, however the Fightmaster shop and the newly added "Woodcutter's Assistant" quest will not appear on already generated worlds. New WeaponsWe've added 98 new weapons, bringing the total in the game from 99 to 197. For design purposes, we group weapons into six tiers. These tiers are not displayed in game, but roughly represent a weapon's strength and rarity. Previously, there were only T1-T3 weapons. This update fills out tiers T4-T6 across the board: Click to see all 9 weapon types » Where to Find Them New weapons are spread…
- v0.6.1 - The Tempest Order: Part 1 - 5 June 2026
The Tempest Order was a longstanding magical faction with Sanctums across Enalia. But following a rebellion, a break-away sub-faction known as the Stormbringers has overtaken their once-hallowed halls. Obsessed with power, this new faction defends its newly acquired territory ruthlessly. These Sanctums are a serious challenge, representing the hardest dungeon currently in the game. Warning: spoilers below. Save files from version 0.6.0 are compatible, however it is recommended to back up your saves just in case. On load, the game will automatically add Sanctums to your world. If you'd like to continue playing 0.6.0, you can select it in steam options under betas. SanctumsThe world now generates with 8 large Sanctum dungeons. Two of these Sanctums are guaranteed to spawn near the starter region, Greenhaven. These are massive dungeons crawling with enemies. They offer healthy heapings of…
- v0.6.0 - Staffs - 20 March 2026

Also included are some QoL changes, including what may be our most requested feature: battle escaping. Save files from version 0.5.20 are compatible, however it is recommended to back up your saves just in case. If you'd like to continue playing 0.5.20, you can select it in steam options under betas. StaffsContinuing our rework of the weapon skill trees, this overhaul changes several abilities and introduces 8 new unlocks for the Staffs tree. Staffs are designed to support a variety of builds: a glass-cannon mage, a front-line battle mage, or a pure bludgeon bonker. Our goal was to accentuate these styles and give you meaningful tactical decisions for each. The centerpiece of this update is a new mechanic: Movement Advantage. This is the first instance of a "turn action" bonus, which…
- v0.5.20 - Bludgeons & Maces - 3 December 2025
The Bludgeons & Maces skills have been reworked into a skill tree format with new abilities, icons, and improvements. Also included is a healthy serving of bug fixes. BludgeonsThis rework introduces 9 new unlocks to the Bludgeons tree. As the parent tree to Maces, Staffs, and Flails, it was important to include bonuses that contribute to a variety of builds while maintaining thematic coherence. So, what defines the Bludgeons playstyle? While Blades focus on attrition through blood loss (DoTs) and avoidance (Parry/Dodge), Bludgeons excel at crowd control, defense reduction, and chaotic bursts of massive damage. Conceptually, the tree contains two distinct paths: On the left path, you will fin…

- Dev Blog: Foundations of Magic - 15 May 2025
It's been a quiet past several weeks, but for good reason. The next major update v0.6 is shaping up to be one of the most significant yet. This update will introduce a new magic-focused faction that plays a key role in the story, along with their associated new dungeon type and two magic skill trees. The Stormbringers Following a brutal civil war, the ancient guild sanctums of the Tempest Order have been seized by rogue mages who call themselves The Stormbringers. The Sanctums now stand as corrupted strongholds scattered across the world. These will be among the most dangerous dungeons in the game, featuring new enemy types, environmental effects, traps, and spells. With these dungeons come new original tracks by Fogheart, including Abomination, the theme for the corrupted sanctums (obligatory listening while you read the patch notes) Many of the same spells used by The Stormbringers wi…

During world generation gender is assigned randomly, with job-based weighting. For example, Druids, Bakers, and Botanists are more likely to be women; Smiths, Butchers, and Bandits less so. The result loosely mirrors medieval norms while still allowing for randomness…
