• Online Multiplayer Available Now - 14 July 2021

  Hi there! Smackball has online multiplayer now! This feature was previously available on the beta branch as a preview, but it has been moved to the default Smackball branch. Currently, there are two types of online matches you can play: Private: Host a match and invite a Steam friend to play with you. Public: Match up against a random player. As previously mentioned, since this is a big update, the price of the game has been slightly increased. The game now costs $4.99 or equivalent. Cheers, Vidak

• Online Multiplayer Preview - 1 July 2021

  Hi there! An online multiplayer mode has been added to Smackball. There's a preview of it on Smackball's beta branch. There are two types of online matches you can play: Private: Host a match and invite a Steam friend to play with you. Public: Match up against a random player. All game modes can be played online, but the CUSTOM mode is only available for private matches. Some core gameplay changes have also been made: There's now a short 'cooldown' period after shooting. This makes spamming the shoot button a bit more difficult. Paddle sizes have been slightly decreased, In order to check out the beta, you'll need to: Open the Steam client and naviagte to your Library. From the Smackball page, open the Properties window from the Manage menu. Select the BETAS tab. Select the beta branch from the dropdown menu. Smackball will then be updated to the latest beta.   Hi, I've discovered some last-minute technical issues that make the online multiplayer unstable in some cases. Because of this, online multiplayer functionality won't be included in the game at launch. I'm working on fixing this, and once things are stable enough, I'll add online multiplayer as an update.
