  Hello everyone, It’s been over a year since my last message, and I wanted to give you an update. As I explained back then, my priority had become my family situation. In the months that followed, things became even more complicated. My wife, Aude, gradually lost the little vision she had left due to cataract opacity. Given her already fragile condition, the surgeons decided to wait until the cataract was fully opaque before operating, to delay the procedure as long as possible. They also prepared a corneal graft as a backup, in case her already weakened cornea could not withstand the surgery. Between June and October, she was completely in the dark. During that period, I continued to act as a full-time caregiver. Very practically, this left me no time to work on The Inspector or Wild Dose. The surgery finally took place in October. • An important update about Wild Dose - 15 January 2025

  Hello everyone, It's been a long time since I've given any news about Wild Dose, and it's time to take stock of why I've been silent in 2024. Sorry in advance for this probably “too long to read” post, but there's a lot to say. A little background In 2022, Lappi Soft was lucky enough to join the Polish acceleration program Digital Dragons, and thus obtain budget for the development of Wild Dose. Not being a 3D artist, I took advantage of this opportunity to work with two artists, Darya (part-time freelance) and Zuzanna (full-time junior), who joined me at the end of 2022, in order to have our own 3D models, our own identity. I like to think we succeeded in giving Wild Dose a more assertive artistic direction, and I personally loved that period when we were building this world. • Wild Dose selected at Indie Game Contest - 26 August 2022

  The Indie Game Contest is a world-wide competition that will welcome the best of independent video games. Highly-acclaimed games such as Sable, Thumper, Super Hot, Card Shark or Into the Breach were all IGC finalists before their official public release. In partnership with the Shadok, the Strasbourg digital centre, the finalists games will be playable from September 23rd to October 8th. The public will also cast their vote for the Audience Award. Each prize will be announced the 7th of October at the closing ceremony held in the Shadok. A professional jury of developers, YouTubers and game journalists will award the Octopix, the prize of the IGC, to the lucky winners. • Wild Dose Prototypes Playtesting is now open to public! - 1 July 2022

  Hey Cyberjunkies, You can now shape the future of Wild Dose by playtesting the prototypes and providing your feedback. Just go to Wild Dose Steam page and request access: In this playtesting round, you will chain a series of prototypes. If you get stuck, you can return to the main menu to choose another prototype. The prototypes are as basic as possible, so as to focus on game mechanics and avoid being distracted by the art direction. However, effects, animations, or simplified models have been added so that actions are logical (like moving enemies or shooting effects). These are sketches and not the final rendering. Also, a little effort has been made into the sound design, as it is an important element of gameplay for the psychological horror genre.   In March 2020, the first Lockdown started in France. Since the end of 2019, game development was taking 50% of my time, but I decided to focus on one goal: release a first (small) game on Steam. That's how Breaking Lockdown was born, a (too?) frustrating game required (too many?) skills, quite influenced by the fact in 2020, the outside world was hostile. However, Breaking Lockdown is not only a dark game.
