- v1.02 - Performance Improvements - 31 October 2021
Added optimisations that should keep the game running silky smooth on even lower end PCs as the days increase.
- Update 1.1 - Mouse in da house - 2 October 2021
Who likes controlling menus with a mouse? Some people! That's who. So we've just added a minor update to let them do just that. We also changed the colour of the cross outside the hospital from red to green because it's naughty to have it red.
- v1.0 - Proper Piste is now live! - 19 September 2021
Folks, we've finally ticked off the last of the features we wanted to add to Horatio Goes Snowboarding before we called a wrap on version 1.0. In this we've added a whole bunch of languages. We've got EFIGS, plus Chinese (simplified and traditional) plus Japanese and Korean. Just find the languages option from the menu and pick your flag. We've also finally added snow, which happens from time to time when we feel like it. We've put in a bunch of particles to polish the game off actually, see if you can spot them all! We're particularly eagre for you to see what happens when you grind when you snowboard is glowing in Endless now ;) We've also fixed a bunch of tiny bugs here and there, so this is now the ultimate complete Horatio experience. We hope you have as much fun playing it as we did making it! Don't forget to leave a review if you're having a good time Love Team ISG
- The Disco Biscuit Update - 5 September 2021
So we never really banged on that much about it when we first dropped it, but Endless mode has some reactive music that builds as you play. This update to the game gives that music some extra visual accompaniment in the form of beat synced and choreographed disco lights that slowly appear, then kick right off when the beat drops. Its not something you can describe easily, so go play it and let us know what you think! - Love Team ISG
- Fan Art Competition - get your tribute art in the game! - 22 August 2021
Yeah! So we LOVE to get fan art for our games. LOVE it. So we're running a competition where you folks can go make some awesome Horatio art work, and we'll put them in the game somewhere, like in the credits sequence or something. We haven't decided yet. What do you reckon? Fancy getting your Horatio art in the game? Draw or make us something and send it to us here in the comments or over on Twitter @infinitestates Doesn't have to be drawing, plasticine or anything is cool! We can't wait to see what you come up with. ps keep it clean yeah
- The Skiers Update - 19 August 2021
We've just brought a huge addition to Horatio Goes Snowboarding. What's a ski-slope with no skiers? NOTHING! That's what. So we've put Skiers into the game. These hapless little dudes slowly start to appear on the slopes in greater numbers as the days go by. Sometimes on their own, sometimes in long trains. Now, in normal games you'd be avoiding these harmless chaps, minding their own business, not bothering anyone. Not in Horatio Goes Snowboarding! Horatio HATES skiers and loves to bowl into them, sending them flying. Give it a go! They give you MASSIVE points, so it can be a tough choice to make sometimes, take out a skier or stick to the gates. And wait till the yeti gets involved in the equation, that's when things really get spicy. Anyway, we hope you enjoy this update! It's a bit of a game changer and amplifies the fun quite a bit, so do give it a go and let us know how you get on…
- We've fixed those achievements that weren't working! (v0.92 is now live) - 24 July 2021
Big shout out to everyone who noticed the cheevo stat tracking was bust! Where we'd deleted some, the stat/cheevo tables got out of sync. The affected achievements were * Wrecked - get run over by 10 cars * Sorry, Officer - hit by 5 police cars * Chairman of the Board - go snowboarding 100 times * Whoopsie - collide with 10 snowmen This version 0.92 fixes the tracking and you can now get these achievements Team ISG
- WE MADE THE YETI WAY BETTER - 22 July 2021
That's right folks! We always wanted to make the yeti strike fear into the hearts of players... BUT NOT THIS MUCH! So yeah, turns out we made a waaaaaaay to brutal Yeti. What we've done to fix this is ... well why don't you find out for yourself! But there's a lot more opportunity to avoid the beast now.
- Update 0.9 - Endless Mode - 18 July 2021
Wotcha, its Team ISG here with another fresh update for Horatio Goes Snowboarding! This update brings some nice new updates, including a bunch of new achievements which take advantage of all the new mechanics we've been putting in the game in the most recent updates. Achievements like get slapped by a yeti, some involving perfect runs, and some involving grandstanding bonuses. Biggest change is a new way to play the game called Endless Mode. You gotta unlock it first though! 1,000,000 points scored accumatively in the campaign will do the job nicely. You'll need the practice anyway, it gets pretty wild on those endless slopes in no time... In our new mode, you'll cruise down a never ending slope slowly getting faster and faster, facing more dastardly hazards. Getting in the zone is the name of the game here, trying to get your combo as high as it can possibly go before you miss a gate.…
- THE YETI IS IN! - 3 July 2021
Who can forget those days of playing SkiFree on an old PC or laptop, whiling away the time going down the slopes then suddenly HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?!?! Ah yes, that'll be the Yeti. You can't have a snowy arcade game without a Yeti can you? Well, that's what our Early Access community have told us, and that's what we've put in. In some levels now, a Yeti can be disturbed hiding behind a random tree. They'll chase you and they're FAST! You can avoid them with a bit of coaxing and swift swerving but it'll take a bit of practice and a lot of deaths... but you love it don't you come on! We've also added some more tunes and given them all a bit of a fiddle about in the mastering department too. ALRIGHT LOVELY BOYS LET'S 'AVE IT!
- Update 0.7 is LIVE NOW! - 14 June 2021
We just pushed live a big update to Horatio Goes Snowboarding! Bunch of new stuff, here's the highlights... - Many more tunes. There's now 10 boarding and 10 city tunes. - New powder snow kicking up for satisfying carving. - Grandstanding bonuses for grazing lethal objects. Get close enough to something to shower out stars for extra points. - Better menus, leaderboards and UI tweaks - Credits sequence Have fun, let us know what you think, and see you on the leaderboards!
- Big ol' update to the scoring system now live! - 19 April 2021
We've made some changes to the way the scoring system works in Horatio! Thanks to all the amazing feedback we've had over in our Discord, we realised the way the multiplier worked was causing some RAGE QUIT issues. We listened, we acted. Here's what's new. Now, your multiplier is set per day. Plus you get a perfect bonus for a no miss boarding run. And we've also removed the pressure from the crossing the road sequence. We're having to wipe the leaderboards too, but it's Early Access so get used to that :D Oh! And now lovely score numbers fly off all over the shop. An ISG staple! Let us know what you think! Love Team ISG x
