• New Update Incoming - 30 September 2026

  Hello everyone! We hope that you're ready to be suitably spooked as we move into The Scary Month We're cooking up an update at the moment that gives improved performance, fixes some visual effects and making some changes to weapon boxes and including the option to skip the initial prologue for those that want replayability without the exposition! No set time for this to be live but expect to see some more information and a solid date within the next couple of weeks. Until then, stay out of trouble - stay scary - and stay out the water!

• The Final Stand Update Out Now! - 15 May 2026

  In a FREE update to Beneath on Steam - you can now challenge yourselves to survive against a terror that never ends. The Final Stand is a brand new horde mode where you will be placed on one of 3 maps. With limited ammo and 3 a minute timer you will be forced to kill the horrors of the deep to increase your time limit and score. We've also dropped a few more fixes that we've been working on. Each of the maps has a different layout and features different enemies, features and weapons. Only one thing is certain, you WILL die, but how long you last and how high you make it on the online leaderboards? That's entirely down to you and your ability to fight the relentless hordes. It's time to make your Final Stand.

  Hello everyone. Earlier this year we teased that the next update on our roadmap was arriving soon. Well the wait is almost over. Our FREE horde mode update 'The Final Stand' launches.... tomorrow! We'll be sharing full details tomorrow with our update blog, for now the only certainty is that in this mode, your death is guarantee.
