The village was a little noisier than usual that morning.A small Ghost had gone missing.They searched all around the village,but it was nowhere to be found.Not in the market,not in the plaza,and not even in the places where it usually played.Haneul asked what had happened."Where did you see them last?"The Ghosts tried to remember."They were in the plaza this morning.""I think I saw them heading toward the forest.""They were alone."Haneul and Atlas headed into the forest together.They followed the path slowly,looking between the branches and through the grass.But no matter how long they searched,they couldn't find the little Ghost.After walking for a while, Haneul suddenly stopped."...Wait."A very faint sound came from somewhere nearby.The two followed the sound deeper into the forest.Before long,they found the little Ghost curled up beneath a large tree."...There you are."The Ghost lowe…

A few days later,Atlas invited Haneul to explore the island together.They walked through forests,crossed valleys,and wandered slowly across fields covered in flowers.Before they knew it,the sun had set,and stars began to appear one by one.After walking beneath the starlit sky for some time,they finally stoppedbefore a circle of mysterious stone monoliths.As though they had stood there since ancient times,one great stonesurrounded by several smaller onesrested silently beneath the night sky.Haneul slowly looked up."...What is this?"Atlas gently placed his hand on the great stone.A faint light spread quietly across the carved symbol."It's the power that protects this island."Without saying a word,Haneul continued gazing at the glowing Guardian Stone.The light of the starsand the light of the stonequietly reflected one another.

For the first time, Haneul decided to cook a meal for everyone in the village.The kitchen was busy from early morning.Outside, Ghosts gathered one after another,peeking through the window, eagerly waiting for something delicious."...Just a little longer."Haneul replied with confidence.A moment later...A mysterious cloud of smoke began pouring out of the kitchen.Cough.Cough.Without a word, Atlas opened the windows wide.The waiting Ghosts slowly stepped back.A little later,a rather suspicious-looking meal was served.Atlas took one bite,then fell silent for a moment."...I'll cook next time."Haneul gave an embarrassed smile."I don't think I'll be cooking again."At that moment,one of the Ghosts eagerly raised a hand."Then I'll teach you!"

Haneul found Atlas sitting quietly by the lakeshore.His fishing line hadn't moved for quite some time.Haneul quietly sat beside him.A gentle breeze rippled across the calm water.In the distance, an unfamiliar bird sang,while little Ghosts splashed and played along the shore."...No luck again today?"Atlas glanced at the empty bucket and smiled faintly."...Seems not."For a while, neither of them spoke.A thin silver mist drifted slowly across the lake.Haneul finally asked,"Then why do you come here every day?"Atlas looked across the lake before answering."...I like the mist at this time of day.""It's quiet.""...Peaceful."Haneul silently turned his gaze toward the lake as well.The silver mist drifted gently across the water.In the end,they didn't catch a single fish.As they walked back,Atlas glanced toward the forest one last time.

Atlas introduced Haneul to the villagers.Some Ghosts looked at the unfamiliar human with curiosity, while others greeted Haneul warmly.Haneul greeted each of them in return.One small Ghost quietly reached out and took Haneul's hand."...You're warm."Haneul smiled and gently held the Ghost's hand.From that day on, more and more Ghosts began gathering around Haneul.Some invited Haneul to come play with them,while others came to share their worries.Watching the scene quietly, Atlas spoke."They've grown close to you faster than I expected......How strange.""What do you mean?""...Never mind.""It's nothing."
