- Fossilfuel 2 is now out on Steam! - 20 February 2024
Hello everyone, Fossilfuel 2 is out on Steam! Be sure to check it out. The game features more terrifying puzzles and action just like the first but also has some cool features. Highlights: -More nonlinear map design and multiple endings. -A horde mode where you can try to survive 50 waves of dinos. -A garrys mod type sandbox mode that can be unlocked. Best, DangerousBob
- Update - Multiplayer says goodbye! - 19 October 2023
Multiplayer has been removed from Fossilfuel with this update. It seems that not many people are actively engaging in the multiplayer aspect of the game, almost all new players are playing the single-player. It doesn't make much sense to promote the game as a multiplayer experience at this point as the servers are empty. Additionally, I'd like to remind you that the Fossilfuel 2 store page is now live. Be sure to follow updates for the exciting continuation of the epic Fossilfuel storyline! Dangerous Bob
- Fossilefuel 2 Steam Game Store Up! - 27 April 2023
It is time. Fossilfuel 2 is officially in development! Fossilfuel 2 will focus on building out the best aspects of the first game. Players revisit the Sierra Research Facility, which has been flooded with seawater, as the base sinks into the ocean. As such the game will focus more on aquatic dinosaurs, such as Dunkleosteus, which I feel don't get much attention in games. Old favorites will still return such as the Utahraptor. Water plays a much bigger part in the game, players must drain flooded hallways, dodge giant Angler fish, and more. Fossilfuel 2 is being built on Unreal Engine 5, and as such will be the best-looking DangerousBob game to date! The game will be much larger than the original, with a target runtime of 12 hours, and be even more horror focused, with more exploration and replay value! Be sure to check it out!

- So what the heck just happen? Read on - 24 December 2021
Ok so here it goes. I ran an update a few days ago and accidentally uploaded the demo overtop of the main game which messed up a lot of code, specifically level travel. I quickly fixed all this and it should be fine now. These small updates are me just fixing some stuff from that fallout. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a big update here in gig size because I had to reupload some old maps to fix this. Honestly if you want to keep your game file size down, re-install (your saves will be fine). Basically, how Steam works is you can add files and copy over files but you can't remove files. So it just kind of keeps stacking. If you do notice something odd please post and I'll fix it. Hopefully, we won't have to go back to 1.10. Sorry about that, I am sure a lot of you were confused. All this to fix some simple key mapping issues on the xbox controller - ugh.
- Fixed the level travel error - 22 December 2021
The last patch created a level travel bug, this is fixed now. Going to keep it on 1.11
- Fixed the combine item in the inventory for game controllers - 18 December 2021
A small bug that I am surprised has lasted this long.. With a game controller, the combine button and the next page button were the same so you had to use the keyboard. This has been fixed.
- v 1.10 Bug fixes - Sniper Crosshair bug and others - 30 November 2021
This patch fixes the following: The sniper crosshair would get stuck up on the screen if you switched weapons while zoomed in. The inventory had a bug where you could stack ammo of different types together (surprised nobody noticed this one earlier.) I tweaked the enemies so they are not so jerky when they turn around corners.
- V 1.09 Fixed the Battle Tank volume control bug - 19 November 2021
In the tank level there was no volume control over the very loud engine noises. After watching a few streamers get really angry at this I had to go in and fix the audio for the tank. So now it works the way it should with the audio controls in the settings menu.
- V 1.08 Horde mode bug fixes - 10 November 2021
Following bugs have been patched. The horde mode would get stuck on waves even though all enemies were killed. This has been fixed. Fixed the grenades not loading on the ammo crates for client-side users. The Titanoboa snake in singleplayer animation is smoother now and not so jerky when it moves. Players start multiplayer with $200 vs $0.
- RAPTOR ISOLATION in VR! OUT NOW - 28 October 2021
Fossilfuel VR: Raptor Isolation is an indie VR horror game, set in the Fossilfuel game universe. Unarmed, you are put up against the intelligent and furious Utah Raptor! Not to be mistaken for Velociraptor, Utah Raptor is twice the size and just as terrifying as its smaller brother. You will have to use items and smarts against the ancient dino, as you try to find a way to escape Sierra! STEAM STORE
- RAPTOR ISOLATION DLC - OUT NOW - 28 October 2021
Raptor Isolation is DLC for Fossilfuel that expands on the horror aspect of the game. A major response to the original Fossilfuel, was that the players wanted more horror and less shooter gameplay. This has answered that call. The Sierra Silo, the north wing of the base, deep in Alaskan Ice, houses more secrets for the player to uncover. Unlike in the main Fossilfuel game, this part of Sierra has no weapons. A Utahraptor has gotten the scent of fresh meat and made its way into the base to hunt down survivors after the base loses power. You play as a lone employee trying to just find an exit, but lucky for you there is more than one as Raptor Isolation offers multiple endings. Download the exciting DLC and get a taste of fear today! - v1.07 fixed some coop bugs - 5 September 2021
The coop level Extraction was buggy. The red raptors were spawning into the ceiling and the DNA sample objective wasn't working correctly for client players. That is all fixed up now.

Ranking System at the end has been re-adjusted as follows: S - under 1 hr (with over 500xp) A - under 2 hr B - under 3 hr C - under 4 hr D - over 4 hr A few other small tweaks include some spelling errors and things of that nature. Happy hunting dino fans! DangerousBob, The Dev
- V1.05 Tutorials, Fix Blud Keycard, and working on FPS - 29 August 2021
For this patch, the following was updated: I've gotten a lot of negative reviews based on the game being too hard. So now there are green prompts that jump up to help the player in some of the harder parts of the game (mainly the first encounter and the trench battle on the tank level where you get the secret rocket launcher). The Blue Keycard is fixed. A user was able to figure out what was causing it. Basically, if you picked up the keycard, the blue one, with a full inventory, it wouldn't work. This was caused by a code bug- when you replaced an item in the inventory it was spawning a new keycard to put in the inventory and that one wasn't aligned properly with the door. Now it is fixed! Trying to get the FPS up on the bigger maps. You should see some improvement. I tested the tank level at 30 fps on a 5700XT, but I would like to be at 60 on the big maps and 120 on the smaller ones (…
