- Artbook & OST now available! - 20 February 2026
Hey everybody! I'm happysquared, one of the developers of After School Afterlife. Our artbook and OST are now available! The artbook is about 29 pages long and includes more information on the cultural references made in the game and some behind the scenes development stories. I also included some photos of the places that inspired us (like my great grandmother's house). The OST includes 25 tracks by Sunnydaze (our composer and my sister). They're both bundled together in a supporter's pack at a discount. - Achievements Added! - 27 January 2026
We added in more achievements to After School Afterlife! You don't have to replay the game to get these achievements. Just open up the game and boot up your save file. With the exception of the post game and PSLE achievement, you should be able to get the rest retroactively.A couple achievements cannot be gained on the same save file if you have already played past a certain point and missed the NPC encounter/interaction. Also, if you'd like to support us, please drop us a review! We are currently one short from ten reviews (Steam does not count reviews from those who received steam keys for free). At ten reviews, Steam gives us an official score and that helps our game's visibility!

After School Afterlife will be releasing on January 23!It brings us great joy to share a game filled with cultural ties to Singapore and SEA with all of you.What started as a 48 hour gamejam is now a fully completed project. The journey has been filled with ups and downs but we kept fighting to make our dream of creating a game based on our home a reality. Hello everyone! Happy to announce that we're finally releasing the demo for After School Afterlife. It has taken awhile with the project being on hiatus for awhile due to Sunny and I (happysquared) working on a separate game (Rusted Moss) that saw a 2023 release with multiple updates after that delayed our full commitment. After School Afterlife has been a huge passion project of ours. We wanted to use our cultural backdrop (we're both Singaporean) to tell a fantastic tale of exploring a Peranakan mansion while encountering spooky ghosts and delicious cuisine. We seldom see our local culture serve as a setting and think there's a lot of fun South East Asian folklore to explore! We've certainly had fun introducing Singaporean culture to our non-local teammates, Hokori and Riuku. (Riuku was not a fan of irvin's fish skin...)
