- Cross Platform is HERE! - 1 July 2025
Hey there fellow Slopecrashers! Sorry for the radio silence, turns out making console versions takes (omg so much) longer than I anticipated, but the good news is, the console versions are all now verified by the console makers!! The release date is 90% locked in! So now I only need to await the go ahead from the first parties, this means it now really is only a matter of weeks for the console release and I will be able to announce the release date hopefully next week!! And for everyone who is asking which consoles are we talking about: the game is coming to Switch, PS4 and Xbox One (which means it will also run on the newer consoles) So this update here is basically now the Day 0 version of the console release, fixing up a bunch of things that you all mentioned either in reviews or in the discord!Patchnotes: 1. AI Rework and Rubberbanding ChangesIn my quest to make an AI system that fi…
- The Big Online Update is here! - 28 February 2025
Hey everyone, it is finally here, the first big update for Slopecrashers! This update contains 3 major key points and a lot of smaller fixes, so here are the patchnotes! 1. Slopecrashers is now rocking Unreal Engine 5.5! This engine upgrade from 4.27 was done for future proofing the game, making sure we can do stuff like cross platform play and overall performance improvements and bugfixes. 2. Coop Lobbies You are now able to play the tours and grand prix' together in online mode, with progress being saved for every player -> Meaning if 1 player gets medal 1, player 2 gets medal 2, that means in the end everyone will get both medals and it will save in their savegames. Same with grand prix' where stars are saved for all players. Furthermore you can play grand prix in competitive lobbies (8 players), but progress will be saved on a per player basis. 3. Online Rewards The game now has onl…
- Slopecrashers is Steam Deck Verified (and news about the next update) - 25 February 2025
Heyy everyone, Slopecrashers has recently been reviewed by steam and is now finally steam deck verified. So if you've got a steamdeck, you can play the full game on that device. I also added cloud sync quite some time ago so if you switch between your PC and the steamdeck, the savegames will be synced between those machines. ---- Also a quick note about the upcoming update. I finally added and tested all the things I wanted in the new update (coop campaign, online rewards, etc...) and we are now in the final tests with the community, so it should only be a matter of days until you can play the new update. Sorry for the delay, but it has been quite the undertaking. Anyway, see you in a couple of days with the patch notes of the next update. Btw, if you want to join the discord community, here is the link: www.slopecrashers.com/discord Best, -peek

- What's next with Slopecrashers - 15 January 2025
Hey everyone, hope you all had a nice holiday! I wanted to do a little post about what I am working on atm and what is happening with Slopecrashers in the next few months: Upgrading the Engine Since Epic stopped supporting my engine version (Unreal 4.27) recently, I now had to upgrade to Unreal 5, which is not a small feat. This will make things like cross play possible and overall future proofing the game. Good news is, most of the game already runs on my machine in Unreal 5, but there is still some issue that I need to fix before I can push the UE5 version with all the improvements that come with that live here on steam! Bringing the rest of the game online Many have asked to play campaign and grand prix online - so that is also on the agenda and I was already in the middle of testing and implementing all the game modes for online play, before I migrated everything to UE5. So once the…

- Steam Deck Compatible? YES! - 6 December 2024
The title says it all, but I wanted to reassure interested crashers of slopes and pro-boarders alike that YES, indeed, Slopecrashers is playable on Steam Deck! You’ll get a FANTASTIC experience on the Deck, and it’s one of the main ways I play the game. In fact, I designed the game with Steam Deck as a focus! Here’s how Slopecrashers looks running on the device: Ain’t it purdy? I certainly think so. Why is Slopecrashers not “Verified” yet? We’re waiting for Valve to officially “verify” the game for Steam Deck. This is a process out of our hands. However, the game runs great on Steam Deck! We’re excited for the day the game gets the official seal of approval from Valve. For now, feel free to jump into Slopecrashers on Steam Deck. It’s an amazing experience on the device and many players choose it as their preferred platform. Imagine this: arcade snowboarding wherever you like. On the bus…

- One Week to GOOOOOOOO! - 27 November 2024
I can’t believe it’s finally happening – Slopecrashers launches on Steam next week! First things first: I’m tired. Like, really tired. Being a solo dev is no joke, and even with the incredible support of collaborators, friends, and all of you, this journey has been a serious labor of love (emphasis on the labor). But it’s almost here! The finish line is in sight. 🏁 Of course, I know the work doesn’t stop here. Post-release updates and patches are already on my mind. But right now, I’m sharing the content-locked version with playtesters, and it’s a surreal, wild feeling to see it finally out there. I’m so proud of what Slopecrashers has become (or at least I will be when I’ve caught up on some sleep). It’s packed with features I’m excited for you to experience. And hey, since I’m a mathematician by training, let’s talk numbers: 4-player local split-screen – race against family and frien…

Save the date! We’re officially launching DECEMBER 4TH! Aaaahhh!! I can’t believe it! After years of development/teaching animals to snowboard, it’s finally happening! - Dev Update: Big Milestone / Wholesome Games / Gamescom / Reviews / Release? - 13 August 2024
Hey shredders! I have been hard at work finishing up Slopecrashers and today I wanna share a few things with you! #1 Major Milestone Today I finished designing the very last track of Slopecrashers. Since (in my opinion) the track designs are the most important thing in Snowboarding games (after the physics of course), I am super happy that I can finally say that they are finished. We are still testing them in the community but so far it has been going good and I think the game offers a big variety of courses when it releases. So I am hopeful you look forward to that. #2 Gamescom - Indie Arena Booth I am super excited that Slopecrashers was picked for the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. And not just that, but for the first time, visitors can get their hands on the Nintendo Switch version there, which I have been working on for quite some time recently to make it work g…
