• Small Update: Fixed upgrade screen bug - 30 August 2021

  Just a small update, you weren't able to pick some of the upgrades in the upgrade screen but that is now fixed!

• Level selection now shows you how many gems you already got, and more! - 27 August 2021

  Changelog August 27: Added a gem count to the level select screen, allowing players to see how many gems they’re already received so they don’t accidentally play a level twice for no gain. Before each game starts, there are glowing orbs that travel down the paths that the enemies will take. This gives the player an idea of what the enemies will be doing and makes it more clear, especially on some of the more complex maps. The remaining number of enemies to be spawned is now at the top left of the screen, just lets players know how much longer they can expect the round to go. Enemies now explode when they do damage to the player, letting you know that you took damage and making it more impactful to the player Thank you all for your feedback! • Lots of updates! Gem animations, Tower upgrades and Level select screen - 20 August 2021

  Changelog August 20 - Gem animations at end of the level - Fixed lighting on some of the levels - Changed the level select to show you a top-down view of each level, looks way better and lets you know what the map looks like before playing - The level select screen is also separate from the play screen to give us the necessary room for displaying all 20 levels - Added different models for the towers, as you level them up they’ll change to be their improved versions until you hit the max level! We think this makes it much more rewarding to upgrade your towers and makes it easier to see which ones are leveled up. - Small light fix on level 18 - Reduced the length of map 3 a bit, it was too long and the enemies took a while to reach the end. • Small Fix: Towers aiming down on enemy death - 17 August 2021

  Just fixed a small bug where the towers would aim down when an enemy died.

• Update: Death animations, difficulty affects health - 17 August 2021

  Today's update covers 3 main things: - difficulty affecting health - death animations - explanation for how to get gems Difficulty changing health The difficulty scaling on health is as follows. Easy = -20% enemy health Medium = no change Hard = +20% enemy health This is meant to make more of a difference between the difficulties, making easy much more accessible to new players and giving a better challenge to hard. Death animations: We also implemented death animations so the enemies no longer disappear instantly upon losing all of their health, this just looks a lot better than them disappearing. We're going to experiment with more fun animations but this is the first step! Explanation for how to get gems We added an explanation on how to get gems in-game. • Update: Fixed lightning tower - 16 August 2021

  Lightning tower has been fixed and the lightning properly comes out of the tower. We are working now to add more animations and sound effects when things happen in-game!

• Update: Tower Descriptions and live tower stats! - 15 August 2021

  We've been getting a lot of feedback and we really appreciate all of it! One of the most common things we've heard is that people want to know what each tower does, and your tower's current stats. We have implemented that into the game and we'll keep working to make Endorfire Tower Defense more fun for everyone!

• Hot fix: GUI Scaling on non 16:9 resolution screens - 14 August 2021

  Small fix - it came to our attention that the screen was squished and not playable on non-16:9 screens. We have fixed this. We hope you're all having fun defending the Kingdom of Endorfire!

• Endorfire is now Released! - 13 August 2021

  We are very excited to announce the release of The Zoo's first-ever game. Endorfire Tower Defense! We decided to make a tower defense game for our first release because our team has always loved these kinds of games. We wanted something we could put our hearts into making and have a truly fun time doing so! We're going to be releasing weekly videos on our game design process, things we learned that can help new developers, and a whole bunch of other content! Thank you to anyone who supports us, we couldn't be doing this without you!
