- Survivor is Free - 15 September 2026
Hey everyone!Steam has approved transitioning Survivor from paid to free. I am still continuing my plan to delist the game on September 24th, so until that date, Survivor will be completing free for all new players to grab in the next week and a half before the game is removed from the Steam store.I am currently discussing with Steam about providing rewards to players who purchased the game during its paid stage and will let you know once I have a response.I also have another project which now has a free demo that is available for anyone to play, which you can check out here: Thank you very much for your support for Survivor.Kind Regards,KolaCape
- Survivor's Price will be Reduced - 10 September 2026
Hey everyone,I would like to announce that I have decided to drop Survivor's base price back down to US$1 after announcing the game's delisting from the Steam store. The previous price increase done in August was based on the assumption that Survivor's development would continue. Also I was unable to reduce the price immediately when I announced the delisting due to Steam's policy about a cooldown period for price changes. However because I am focused on my new projects, including Crownfront which just launched its demo and because I don't want to charge such a high price for a game whose development is being shut down I've decided to reduce it to a fair value. Also I am in talks with Valve about making the game free in the final weeks before de-listing as I do not think it is fair to charge for a game that is being delisted.Kind Regards, KolaCape

- Survivor is being Delisted - End of Development - 9 August 2026
Hi everyone,I'm writing to let you know that development on Survivor has officially ended. \ is the final build, there won't be any further updates and the game will be delisted in the coming months.Survivor has been up for 5 years. Some of you have been here since the beginning, and a lot of you stuck around through the long stretch where I went quiet and nothing shipped. I've never properly accounted for that gap, and I should have — \.I'm glad I came back for the rework rather than leaving it as it was. Finishing something properly, even late, feels different from abandoning it — and it's the reason ending development now feels like a conclusion rather than a retreat. What this means practically: The game will be delisted. On September 24th, Survivor will be officially delisted from the Steam store. If it's already in your library, it stays there permanently — delisting removes a game…

- Survivor Rework - Development Update #2 - 12 May 2026
Hello everyone,This is the second development update for the upcoming Survivor rework.Development has continued steadily, and I’m now at the point where the major systems for the rework are complete. This includes the core gameplay systems needed for the new version of the game to function properly. With that foundation now in place, development is moving into the next stage: polishing, testing, and improving the overall player experience. The current focus is on refining the game, fixing issues, and working on the UI and menu systems. These areas are important because they help make the game feel more complete, readable, and easier to navigate. For this update, I do not have new screenshots or gameplay footage to share yet. However, I plan to include screenshots and gameplay footage in the next development update, once the current polish pass is further along and the game is in a better…
- Survivor Rework - Development Update #1 - 26 April 2026
It has now been two weeks since I announced that development on Survivor would resume alongside the release of the upcoming rework.Since then, development has been progressing steadily. Most of the major systems for the rework are now either already in place or close to development completion. This includes the core gameplay structure needed to support the new version of Survivor as a more focused singleplayer wave-based zombie survival FPS.The purpose of this rework is to create a stronger foundation for the game going forward. By focusing on singleplayer, development becomes more manageable and allows new content, features, weapons, enemies, and gameplay improvements to be added more consistently. At this stage, the current estimated release window for the Survivor rework is 4 to 8 weeks from now. This estimate may still change depending on testing, bug fixing, balancing, and final poli…
