Hey everyone! OMO: New Frontier Devlog #5 is live over on YouTube. This update covers a range of new features including: Weather effects and seasons Building complex, multi-step structures (like a Cabin!) The latest build of the game has a revamped code base, meaning new items, animals, and features are a lot easier for me to add now. :D Iāve also been working on a new art style that captures the essence of the first game a bit more than our prototype did. āPre-productionā has almost wrapped for On My Own: New Frontier ā meaning the Map, Biomes, Project Plan, scope, and Game Design Document are being finalized in the coming weeks. Originally Posted to YouTube 7/26/21 Video Highlights Why we're making a new OMO game: Over the past couple years we've received feedback from On My Own (OMO) fans asking for additional content and features to be added to the game. After reviewing the OMO codebase and some of our original design decisions, we realized how much we'd need to rework the game in order to expand it. We decided it was best to retain the original OMO as it was and instead start working on a sequel built from the ground up. Wilderness Living: In addition to the survival mechanics of the first game, players will be able to set down roots in the wilderness, building out a frontier home.
