- Polish and Hungarian Localization - 12 October 2025
Hello everyone! A small update today adding two new languages to the game: Polish and Hungarian. Many thanks to Edward Mazur (edward6d) and Sunsetjoy for working on those, we are very happy to finally have their work officially added to Card Survival. On top of that this update also fixes the recently discovered Unity security vulnerability issue. And for our modders out there, you should know that we updated the Unity version that the game runs on from Unity 2019.4.41f1 to Unity 2022.3.62f2.

Hello everyone! We wanted to let you all know that Card: Survival: Fantasy Forest will be finally releasing on the 28th of February. On-release content includes: Central Forest Area: A forest to explore and get lost in, divided into 27 sublocations. It includes a river, a cave complex and multiple places of interest, with different plants and animals to find depending on the area. Fauna: Animal agents that roam the forest and can be tracked and chased around the different areas, including Squirrels, Partridges, Badgers, Foxes, Deer, Boars and Wolves. Partridges and Boars can also be domesticated and bred. Flora: A selection of 14 different plants with different uses for crafting, cooking and medicine . - Card Survival: Fantasy Forest - Early Access Release News - 8 January 2025
Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good start of the year! We wanted to say hi and update you on how we're doing. As some of you know, we started a small closed beta in December and over the past few weeks we've been gathering feedback, fixing bugs and continuing to add features. We're happy with the reception the game has gotten so far and are really looking forward to releasing it! The main things stopping us from releasing at the moment are: Missing Art (yes, I'm still not done... there's just too many cards...) Some visual improvements to how the game looks (some people have complained about the visuals being too dark, saturated and overwhelming). A few annoying bugs we wouldn't feel comfortable releasing the game with. Some balancing issues regarding farming and fishing. Hello everyone! I hope you're all well. Delays... We wanted to tell you that unfortunately, we won't be able to release Fantasy Forest at the end of November like we wanted. We have been working hard for a long time now and we really tried to make it for this date, but here we are... I should admittedly have been more conservative with my time estimations. We make games in an iterative way that is hard to plan and organize things around, and, as it's often said, the last 10% usually takes as long as the rest... We hope you're not too disappointed by this, we're very close to being ready... just not there yet. The content is basically there, and things are relatively well balanced (at least for an early access title that's going to be receiving lots of updates) but I'm still quite behind on art, and there are some polishing issues we wanted to have ready for release that have been taking…

First, we're happy to announce that we're finally ready to share an official-ish date for our Early Access release. If all goes according to plan, Card Survival: Fantasy Forest will technically be available by the end of November. Once the game is out, we'll start rolling out new updates with additional content, just like we did with Tropical Island. However, unlike the mini-weekly updates of the past, we plan to launch larger, more significant updates every few months. We wanted to share some updates on the development of Card Survival: Fantasy Forest and also use the opportunity to tell you about one of its new main features. The game continues to progress well, with new features and content being added on a weekly basis. We do have to say however, that despite this we won't be able to release the game as early as we had originally wanted. Hello everyone! It's been a while since our last announcement, so we just wanted to drop a message and say hi! We've been hard at work on Card Survival: Fantasy Life! Some of the things we've been working on recently are the Magic system (which I'll describe in more detail in this announcement), a new and improved cooking system that we believe will greatly enhance the experience and many improvements to the general interface/interactivity of the game like for example a new type of mini-inventory (for items like fishing rods or kitchenware), and a new feature that allows players to expand and collapse stacks of cards (especially useful for farming). Content implementation is progressing well, and the forest setting for the game is gradually coming to life. Art development is taking bit longer than anticipated, but it's progressing nonetheless. Card Survival: Fantasy Life As some of you may remember our original idea for our next game was a cold survival experience called Winter Valley. After much thinking however we came to the conclusion that we needed something more special, both for our players and for ourselves, and so the idea quickly mutated into Fantasy Life, something which kept the whole cold survival aspect while also adding a lot of new features and experiences to make it more unique. Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Combat Update Merge: Update 42, the combat update, should now be available in the main branch. We've used the last month to fix issues and make tweaks, but do let us know if you find any further bugs or if you have any feedback regarding it's balancing! We'll continue fixing bugs as we see them. :) Spanish Language: The game should now be fully available in Spanish thanks to the great efforts of our Spanish volunteers (thank you very much casti97!). From now on the game should automatically switch to Spanish if that is your main language, but you should still have the option to pick your preferred language from the options menu. We're aiming to release it by the end of May (on a beta branch as usual). It's a big update and we've been working on another important thing so it's taking longer than the usual updates.
